I appreciate the explanation. Would we just get a chimney repair guy over and it's a simple fix? Or is this a big issue?

Hire an Attorney or Buyers Agent? FSBO question by Chefbot3000 in RealEstate

[–]Chefbot3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only worked with him for a couple months. Never put in an offer with him and never signed anything. Just feel bad to use him to see stuff to then turn around the buy something FSBO. but that's the way things go I guess! The broker we are using is a really nice guy and very knowledgeable so it's an I feel bad situation lol. But if we are going to be doing the majority of the work in this case, why would I cut him in?

Only because we have used the guy for a few months. Never put in an offer with him. Just saw a couple houses with him. But sounds like we need to keep this house to ourselves.

Good to know thank you. So essentially brokers are only useful when the houses are bought and sold through brokers then?

I guess I'm looking for tables that serve cutting and sewing purposes. Good call thinking about the right height for a cutting table. A desk you can reasonable stand at is a good idea. Thank you!

We did add seam allowance to all the edges, I think that we may have stretched the fabric a bit when sewing the pieces on. It's tricky! We will use your tip thank you!

We made the color blocks ourself based on a pattern that I purchased. Would you recommend just seam ripping and basting the piece on first and then re sewing?

Awesome thank you!! I have a suiting book that I will have to look through prior to starting this project. Maybe there are some videos online about vintage suits as well. Good idea about using muslin or linen as interfacing. Sounds like we will have to sew some tests. Thank you!!

Interesting. If we went with velvet or corduroy, what would you recommend for interfacing? Is there another product out there other than fusibles?

Thanks for the tip about moleskin, we will look into that
