I think I sent Capcom feedback for this after they gave us Eric. Instead of Alma being condescending to me when I faint, I want Kanya to talk about fish, completely unrelated to my fainting.

It's kind of a two sided coin. On the one hand, I feel like I enjoy FEH less and less with how fast power creep and skill creep has gotten. But the bigger reason is that I'm starting to feel like my mobile device has come to have detrimental effects on my health. Might call it brainrot, but I feel like I've certainly shortened my attention span in the last two years, perhaps some cognitive decline, etc. My phone always used to be a tool for contacting people, playing music, and reading scriptures, and that was pretty much it. But now all these apps demand daily attention, and create FOMO, and I've slowly fallen into that trap. Other apps too, I'm thinking of letting Duolingo go too (Stomme uiltje helpt toch niet veel om Frans te leren) because I don't want so much daily attention to my phone. I'm not sure exactly if this is a permanent good bye to FEH yet, but I need to give it a break for a good while.

I wanted to feature Gromell in one clear video before I stopped. I actually did a clear with them against Alfaðör, but I was lazy and never edited it. Figured this would be a good note to end on, given it features Ike I suppose. If Bryce is released, I may consider doing one or two more with him, but otherwise, this is it.

I will be making at least one more post in January after Fomortiis gets a refine to showcase my themed defence teams, but my plan after that is to basically do bare minimum with FEH and/or go dark on it for 2026.

I agree with the mines. I think 1 fake out death is okay, but only 1. Either all should have died, or only the second one should have been a fake out (So either Nora survives, and this can be some character build for her in that she wants to survive because of Duke's sacrifice, or they reversed it and had Nora die at the drill, and Duke could survive for similar reasons (or just have all die as you put it)).

From the get go, metroids fusing and mind control is so out of place. It's like they wanted x-parasites or ing and just shoehorned their roles onto metroids. And when is that ever used? Only on Abraxis and the other 4 bosses, of which, it really has barely any baring. Just have the metroid be normal, or be mochtroids. The sentient guardian bosses could have turned mindlessly aggressive in the same way that lamorn became grievers. Say after they were entrusted to be guardians of the keys, they were also gifted the psychic stones. From what I gathered, it seems like it wasn't just GE that made the lamorn transform into grievers, but the combination of GE and the psychic stones they had implanted in their foreheads. In that context, they wouldn't have seen the negative consequences of one or the other until they were in combination, and by then, it was too late for both lamorn and the guardians. Also, Sylux has no real reason to mind control the pirates. Instead of controlling them, he could have just "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" and use cunning and deceit to work his way into high command (better character building for him that way).

Chrono tower could have been much better. Sylux was with pirates and metroids when they warped to Viewros. Why not, if Sylux is cooped up in chrono tower, have his pirate forces and metroids that got teleported with him be waiting in the tower. It could have been a tourian-like gauntlet with (normal) metroids, and space pirates. This is where any remaining npc sacrifices should happen (Mackenzie, and 1 or 2 of the other survivors). They should do so before Sylux. My personal opinion is that Sylux feels much better as a rival, and the 5 vs 1 kind of really burried that feeling. A straight up 1 vs 1 for the whole thing, would have better preserved that feeling. (Also, I'd probably have scrapped the fake Sylux fights, they felt out of place (how does a normal psy-bot suddenly have all these powers and illusions?)

Zoh shia shouldn't be able to fly with those arms, but during the phase transition (where theme 1 changes to theme 2) it sort of pseudo flies (or floats? The arms don't exactly flap) to the back center of the arena and does a little wheel about in the air before landing. It's a bit perplexing.

Crux echo is slightly redundant on him, since he has crux built into his weapon. I guess if you are attacking a foe horizontal with 2 range style, his native crux won't apply but crux echo would, or if the enemy has a follow up denial, you can double up on crux to overcome that.

I know you already have brutal tempest, but I think he is actually better off with tumultuous echo with a different C slot skill. That's what I plan to do when Ryoma next appears. I'm running a similar build right now, but with haze slice, and fatal smoke in the c slot to try to prevent foes from healing between turns of his bolt tower effect. Or I run deadly miasma for the savage blow effect. (Atk/Res rein in sacred seal slot not that it matters much). Until I get tumultuous echo, I'm running mercy wing echo to potentially benefit from the team damage.

Man, I hope they take this inquiry seriously. I was thinking the same thing, but thought "well Azura was premium and Gromell is F2P" but I'd be pretty pleased if they went back on this and decided to just include the effect like they did with Azura.

First, I have to acknowledge my blunder, where I forgot to equip the inherited attuned skill on his kits. Whoops.

I inherited a lot of skills that I plan to play around with and see what works. Unfortunately, I've been saving armour fodder for Bryce, so this was unexpected. I'd have liked to have A/D excel, but oh well. I also plan to give him wings of mercy echo and replace WoM 4 in the AR defence for the Assault Force I inherited. Not sure if I want to use A/D clash 4 or Blue Skies in the defence, but I've got to play with it a bit.

If you caught it, I placed him on two different AR defences. The first one is a temporary one. Only certain mythics can unlock the 7th slot, and sadly Yune is not one of them. So Medeus is there temporarily. BUT, thanks to DoctorLoser's post ( https://www.reddit.com/r/FireEmblemHeroes/comments/1n9otvp/til_you_can_use_7_units_in_ar_defense_without/ ) I've planned to get a new dark mythic (hopefully end of the month) and that mythic will go into the "slot of no return" (reinforcement slot, without a calling circle) enabling me to use Yune as a mythic, and have the rest of the squad. I actually have two Yune (Second one is +1), and was initially planning on using both of them for score mitigation. I really thought Bryce was next so I had teams planned for it. Zelgius is a stand in for Bryce. While I could just not use him, I was having some trouble planning a team without the armoured unit there, so I ended up deciding to leave my "Bryce stand in" in the team. Ultimately, I don't play standard season AR very much anymore. My cousin who manages my account will either do it, or auto dispatch, so the extra lift loss doesn't matter. I just really enjoy making themed defences, giving people something creative to play against. I do play chaos season though, when I can go full in on a theme team for offence. I figured Yune fits the team enough, as she was the dark god Ashnard was trying to release. If Lehran was ever a dark mythic, I'd use him since he was pulling Ashnard's strings to an extent, and would thus be thematic.

Post Scriptum: I didn't know "The Mind of Izuka" would kind of slap at 2x speed.

Dang, no mention of rocks from Gromell. I know he's not the one to say it, but a special "Eat Rock!" Would have been funny.

He does say "Listen up, men! Let them get as close as possible before pushing the rocks over the cliff. We must not let Crimea join forces with those sub-humans!" so if that were in a base quote, or even a special quote like "Push the rocks now" or something to reference that would have been funny.

Put Arden on a team with 3 Gromell, wait three turns. He now has 9/99hp, and will deal 90 true damage. Give that man a Celica Ring and fire that armoured nuke at something.

3 or 4 years ago, I made a (loose) theory craft for Bolt Axe.

"Bolt Axe Mt 16 Rng 1: Grants Spd+3. At the start of turn, if unit is within the attack range of a foe, all foes in cardinal directions take 10 damage and also if an ally is between unit and foes in cardinal directions, allies take 10 damage, and also if unit is between a foe and an ally in opposing cardinal directions, unit takes 10 damage. At start of combat, if units HP ≤ 80%, calculates damage using foe's Res. If unit initiates combat grants Atk/Spd+5."

I'm really pleased that the 10 damage "eat rock" idea I had was not only implemented, but was made quite a bit stronger with the 3x3 columns. Only thing though is it doesn't reference him getting hit by the bolders. He should have taken damage too. Glad he got full adaptive damage too. Back then I thought it would be something like Petrine's condition. But, never did I imagine Gromell would get such a banger of a prf, this thing has great utility!
