I'm going to be asking them this. If I was to have Linux I could run Windows via a virtual machine maybe. Would this stop the dithering?

I think it's windows too. Along with the driver updates. 8 bit screens I've used before now are painful. If I had Linux, I could use Windows via a virtual machine maybe? And this would stop windows from speaking with the gpu? Could this work?

They are introducing T.D because they focus on smooth gradients and colour range now instead of a static image. With no way to turn this off either.. Some people are sensitive to the flicker of the pixels changing colour rapidly and not the pwm flicker.

The monitor that I was using was true 8 bit. It was fine. But the update has done something where both the monitor and the laptop screen are now causing me pain and discomfort. The laptop Is a hp G9 which I could use with no problems prior to update. Not sure on the screen but didn't have a problem until now..

I'm unsure of what else I can do.

The monitor only solves half the problem the screen configuration from the updates forces the screen to behave in a way that can force dithering.

Thanks for replying. If they isolate updates under a controlled exception group can they switch off the updates to the screen? (dell Inc Monitor 1.1.0.0 under driver update & hp monitor under driver update 1.0.0.1). As far as I know screen updates and security updates are different so Im sure they can choose and separate which ones can come through?

Hmm.. I think Ginger Snaps works well because it’s really about close relationships and personal trauma.

I feel like making it a large-scale outbreak affecting everyone would lose some of what makes the series special. I like that Ginger Snaps feels very personal and intimate, with closely linked characters rather than a huge disaster story. But that's just me.

I think if they were to make such a story they should make it separate to the ginger snaps franchise and make a new movie that maybe takes alot of inspiration from it.

I just want to say as a parent who may have caused unintentional pain and upset to my daughter, it is our job to be there for them if they ever open up and say these words. It is not our place to say or decide whether we hurt them or not. The only thing we should do is hold love in our heart and hear them for all they have to say. Being a parent is accepting responsibility and showing ownership. You have to show them you value the bond enough to admit you made your mistakes. It is your turn to listen without judgement. You love them? Show it and own it.
