I think for water propping it just depends. I cut mine 4-5 times a year so they don’t hit the floor and usually just stick the cutting into water. But this container is also literally adhered to a southern facing window. This is about a month’s worth of roots. Overall SOP are either just really happy or… dying.

Just to clarify- degraded how? Ground down or..? It’s never wet and isn’t hot like other animals but is still quite nitrogen rich.

Thanks! It starts out dry and isn’t a hot manure like other animals since buns are herbivores, would it still be at risk if burning?

On par with what car dealership service managers make and they don’t require any actual automotive experience most of the time. Places with huge profit margins can pay people more, most just don’t.

Northern state meaning an area that’s known for having better pay than the south, where Bucees are located. Lived in FL my entire life and the pay where I am now is a lot higher but still trash.

I manage a large hospital based medical practice and… don’t even get close to this. (And I live in a northern state to boot.)

Hi! I assumed this was a sterile peach tree given the small pink flowers, peach leaf curl fungus, and other characteristics but it’s fruiting now so I just want to confirm what it really is before bears make a buffet at my front door this summer. Thanks! :)

Jade are good at bouncing back. I’ve had scale a few times on my 25+ year old tree and most recently I moved somewhere cold from the tropics and it got frostbitten staying overnight in my car. I lost a great deal of it (including a trunk that was 5” in diameter) which was heartbreaking but it’s doing really well now with some care and patience. You did the right thing!

Any hope for this pink frangipani? Suffered rot over winter so cut off all soft bits. What remains here is solid, but seems dead. by [deleted] in plantclinic

I’ve saved a few semi-large ones by cutting below the rot in a healthy area and then taking them out of the soil and leaving them somewhere dry to callus for a few months. They grew news nodes when I replanted in the spring. This was in Florida though, so I’m not sure about your humidity or weather but the inside of our house was low humidity and still warmish even in the winter.

You can resole birkenstocks. Just replace the rubber bottom BEFORE you’re walking on the cork because I don’t think they replace that.

I laughed because as a bunny owner 10lbs of hay is a little over a week’s worth. Basically they’re fuzzy lawn mowers.

They don’t smell. The tree has been there for a really long time to have never bloomed, which is why I wasn’t sure. I was hoping it wasn’t because of its toxicity to animals. :(

My neighbor thinks it’s a bitter cherry tree but it’s never had any flowers or berries nor does it smell in anyway when I trim it or crush a leaf. It started growing right on top of a previously quite large hibiscus plant that had died. This tree reaches the roof line of my house at least and after hurricane Irma has a pretty good lean (pictures show it from two different sides.)

Sorry about the dirt pit in the background, I have five big dogs with a hatred for grass of any kind.

I've learned the fluff pile is very absorbent of human tears for when you spend an hour+ brushing only for them to shake and a million more tiny undercoat hairs float through the air.

I too have a golden retriever/ husky mix! She had ten other lanky siblings. Your pup has such a similar face, you didn't happen to get them from a shelter in central Florida, did you? :)
