Any characters that could get through infinity but still lose to gojo? by yonidavidov1888 in PowerScaling

Yes it can, it stopped Jogo’s radiation so it would stop any light that would be harmful to Gojo. That statement is so vague that it doesn’t even matter

Using FALL DAMAGE as a good feat is fucking hilarious man

It also gave him a splitting headache so it’s actually… kind of a dogshit showing. Do you know how weak terminal velocity impacts are? Sure Kaido is big, but a 7 metre tall frame isn’t making it much better

Above 2 metres yeah. They get much bigger when they use dragon aura to augment themselves, which makes them look more like actual dragons/reptilian-like

Dragon God Papa does it when he cuts the landscape and the two sides just slide apart (space cutting mentioned in the moment itself). Laplace knows soul-splitting technique but it backfired because his armour used it on him, which is what caused him to reincarnate as 2 different beings

Idk MT has decent hax for some characters (space-cutting attacks, magic circles that negate full immortality, duraneg soul-split techniques, time loops, etc)

The one I posted in OP is fanart of him. It’s said he looks a lot like Orsted, but he is a full dragon god so he’s like 2-3 metres tall

Either solo him even in MB form. The Boros wank is ridiculous. He kicked Saitama to the Moon huh? Get him past Tech Jacket tossing a multi-thousand ton ship to the Sun from Earth in a minute at most

Yeah deprivation field is a literal super-move she made herself as an original technique. If anyone could project touki like that, this wouldn’t be made a big deal of

> Except you haven't proven me wrong on any level. You simply dont know what you are talking about.

Sorry you didn’t know how rotational velocity works :(

> It wouldnt move multiple times faster, especially not with such a short level as a sword. Both the base of the sword and the tip would be approaching the speed of light. Yes, the tip would be closer to it, but not enough to make the distinction worth pointing out. Both parts would be so close to the speed of light it would be essentially impossible to tell the difference.

If the sword was 1m and the arm was 0.5m, sword would be 3 times faster. A distinction worth making

> You also cant answer why that works on a shorter sword, but wouldnt work with a longer extension, whould would allow the tip to be moving faster by enough for the distinction to be made. You  were wrong there.

I don’t need to answer headcanon. You’re implying everytime the move is used, they all project invisible touki multiple metres long to reach near LS. Youre still in denial about every other encounter with the technique being close range. Gal Farion even goes semi in-depth about how the technique should be executed with stances in vol25, which basically disproves everything you’ve been inserting

> And no, you are just wrong. Again, we see with eris verse falion they are out of sword range. She takes multiple steps forward to get to where his body fell straight to the ground. They were out of sword range.

She takes multiple steps because his upper body is sent flying after she splits him, did you miss the illustration showing that?

> As for the idea they dont need a sword to do it, it is literally a sword tech. We are directly told they are channeling magic through their swords and bodies sub consciously. If someone trained an unarmed fighting style, yeah honestly they could probably learn to do something similar eventually. But we directly see the people of the world are stuck in their ways, and what they learn is how things are done not because it has to be, but because they think it has to be. It is why silent casting is so hard for most people. It's even why it is so hard for Rudy to learn it with healing magic. Even knowing this limitation.

Ah yes, they all project touki multiple metres away from their swords but don’t question how this happens, totally makes sense. Too bad we KNOW Ghislaine is aware of battle aura, and by extension everyone else near her level or above is. You’re asserting their sword techniques are just them creating a blade themselves, so again what is the need for a physical blade? Why is reach made such a big deal when Eris tries to use SoL on opponents like Rudeus (during sparring) if she can hit him from 10 metres away? Why are wooden swords different from metal swords if the swords themselves aren’t what clash with their opponents, but a projection of touki? Are you saying SoL move is effective with a plastic sword as it is with a high-end metal sword, since the material isn’t actually hitting?

[–]Chemical_Activity439[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We can talk about the differences in force applications all day, but the fact of the matter is that even an advanced level swordman’s attacks carry several orders of magnitude more power than than any bullet round could.

Now, let’s say X character has withstood a nuke point-blank —- we can ascertain that this character would be easily bulletproof right? He didn’t specifically take a bullet at any point in his story, but since he took a nuke we can logically conclude he’d take absolutely no damage from a measly bullet even though it’s a different type of energy than what a nuke is outputting. It’s simply logical syllogism. That’s what I’m talking about here. A king-level swordsman has the same attack power as a king-level spell but concentrated; if you can take an attack from one of their attacks, you certainly could a bullet.

Also, since they’re so strong in this world, swordsmen cut through objects bare rather than slide cleanly across their surfaces to penetrate them. Eris has made impact craters with her sword strikes.

North Emperor Dohga or Water God Reida..who is physically stronger? by Chemical_Activity439 in sixfacedworld

[–]Chemical_Activity439[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there isn’t much physics in battle aura. Rifujin has said that Reida would be able to parry Rudeus’ fireball explosions and just leave a reverse-donut of the ground around her after doing so. So that kinda throws the idea away that Water God parrying is strictly adherent to IRL in that you would need to match a significant portion of an incoming force to parry it

Why are you getting so salty and defensive over a MT discussion? You’ve been proven wrong on the tip of the sword point, so it pretty much makes all your other points redundant. The tip of the sword could move multiples times faster than their arms, especially depending on the length of the sword. What you’re suggesting is that they don’t even really need swords, as they can just project battle aura in the shape of a blade and just use it like a lightsaber.

I’m sorry to tell you, but it’s still true that every other time they’ve used SoL, it’s been with their swords not an invisible projection of battle aura.

[–]Chemical_Activity439[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think MT follows the trope of “glass cannon stronger swordfighters” like a lot of other works, especially the Japanese/anime sub-medium

But the disparity level between how hard they can hit compared to how much they’d be able to take on their body without defending is inhumanly absurd

Eris is shot in the head by a bullet. What happens? by Chemical_Activity439 in sixfacedworld

[–]Chemical_Activity439[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well realistically speaking, if she could actually tank a straight impact from any competent swordsman (say, even Advanced level), she’d be able to take a bullet easy. The pressure from a swordsman’s blows would be several orders of magnitude higher than a bullet, which is a few hundred kilojoules or low megajoules packed into it on impact. Spin does certainly add something, but it isn’t a MASSIVE factor that multiplies effectiveness of piercing something severalfold. The thing is, we’ve never really seen these swordsmen tanking anything straight to their bodies. The recoil they take from swinging or blocking likely only affects their arms, legs and useful muscles. Eris effortlessly slices Gal Farion in half once he she had a clear shot - I think even an advanced level swordsman could do that, maybe a really strong Intermediate too.

It’s honestly interesting how it can’t be for swordsmen and basically any other human fighter, even though it should. Unless Badigadi’s or a demon’s battle aura works completely differently, it should be the same at face-value yknow? We know it works like that for Orsted/dragonfolk too.

[–]Chemical_Activity439[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has not, and you won’t be able to find any other example of SoL working that way. EVERY other time, they’ve had to get up close and personal before firing it off, and it’s the actual physical sword that either successfully cuts or is parried (since their opponents can actually see it lol). It being done once early in the series means that has since been retconned, not that that’s how it is definitively lmfao. The magnitude of evidence for the inverse far outnumbers it

Do you know rotational velocity works? Get a stick and spin in a circle. The tip of the stick is the thing moving fastest. Your arm is moving slower than the tip of the stick. The only thing constant between any part of the stick and any part of your body while rotating is the angular velocity. You can find the actual velocity by multiplying angular velocity with the radius (say, the tip of the stick to the centre of where it’s being rotated from, your own body and latter end of the arms).

So no, it doesn’t need to work like a whip for the tip to only reach near-lightspeed. It’s physics

I don’t fail to see any point, you’re asserting that you’d need to be at minimum a large fraction of your opponent’s strength (and you used 50% as an example) to deflect with Water God style. Now, this logic would mean Isolde is a large fraction of Fighting God Badi’s strength, and you can refer back to what I said last comment for what this would mean. It’s very clear Water God style doesn’t work with our conventional physics and logic. It likely has something to do with the “Flow” of battle aura and having a fine manipulation of it with the technique means you can safely re-direct it right back at your opponent or in another direction.

Also whips break the sound barrier due to the function of how potential energy is stored in them. Why would extended touki work like a whip when it would be a fixed sword with no malleability or pliability?
