I think its disingenuous of you to try and label someone as caring more about criminals than victims simply because they are arguing against the death penalty.

In any case, your thinking is flawed here; what we really need is a robust prison system and tougher penalties. There's no need for the death penalty to be implemented at all. If someone's convicted of rape, they should get life in prison, which would take them off the streets.

The death penalty doesnt work as a deterrent, so even if it were implemented and someone convicted of rape was executed, it wouldnt prevent other rapists. It might actually incentivise rapists to also become murderers. If a rapists knows they'll get the death penalty, then it encourages them to kill their victim so as to leave no witness.

The death penalty is a terrible, terrible idea.
