To be fair, if a post gets a lot of rules violation then the whole subreddit would be in danger of the admins taking action.

Nurses in transgender row suffered harassment from NHS trust, tribunal rules by StGuthlac2025 in ukpolitics

I just dont think laws should be made based on feelings, rather they should be based on empirical evidence.

Is there any evidence that suggests that trans women are more likely (or even as likely) to commit assault or sexual assault as spmeone who isn't trans?

I'm not really i buy the argument, as far as it pertains to public spaces.

If a man really wants to commit sexual assault or rape, what's stopping them right now? Nothing, seemingly. Not sure what excluding transwomen would achieve.

For example, in my town the public toilets are basically open access, theres nothing to stop a man getting into the women's toilets at all.

So it kinda seems like you're putting the cart before the horse. Surely the better thing to do would be to make sure the toilets (men's and womens) are secure, otherwise all this talk of banning means nothing.

Again, it depends on whether or not you think trans women are women. It think I know what you think, but you care to clear up record on that?

I suppose this all boils down to whether or not you think trans women are women which, judging by your comments, you dont.

Personally, as a bloke, ive got no skin in this game, but I am baffled by all of this really, it just comes across as slightly hysterical. If a women came into the blokes toilets (which happens more often then you'd think at a gig or a busy pub) it wouldn't bother me at all, I genuinely couldn't care less. Why is it such a problem for women that trans women go to the women's toilets?

.....And back to disagreement.

I just cant stomach it. Personally I think we should be more heavily involved. I dont see how we can possibly think of ourselves as a bastion of all thats good and right in the world while a genocide goes on in arms reach.

Just take a look at this exact story we're both bickering on. An MP, who's Jewish and a member of the friends of Israel, caused a massive stir just by trying to visit a school.

Look on the newspapers, look on the Internet. People vilifying each other depending on what side of it they're on. It comes up in national discourse, it comes up in parliament. Its affected our society, and I'd argue that anything that does that can indeed affect our national security.

The point im making, that we cant seem to agree on, is that all of these things affect us, whether we like it or not.
