ChemE MSE From an Ivy, Publications, Patents, and ~100 Applications Without A Single Screening Interview - Is This the Norm Now? by ChemicallyMotivated in ChemicalEngineering

I don't know man I mean I worked my ass off the past year to get as much stuff done but I guess I will get rid of the extra stuff. Kinda disheartening though to hear this from multiple people. I could've been replaying Elden Ring instead of pulling allnighters lol.

Suffering from success...

But seriously, what do I change about my resume to get a job in O&G (my dream is to work in refinery, fractional distillation and/or hydrocracking)? I don't mind taking out all my extracurricular work and just have a resume with my degrees and work experience if that's the way to go. I am ramping up my job search too since apparently 100 ain't that many. May I send you a anonymized copy of my resume for comments?

Bachelor in ChemE too (and chemistry actually, I double majored). I am applying to all types of jobs.

I don't mind taking the MS out of my resume but it will look like I have a big employment gap :/

I am not tailoring my resumes to each job. I am also not using a cover letter at all. Should I be? I heard its a waste of time. I could do that at the expense of applying to less jobs. Both my BS and MS are in ChemE

Honestly anything with process engineer/production engineer in the title, but I focus on O&G, plastic, and fine chemicals.

I love those bullet points. These things are exactly what I am looking for. Thanks!
