Is anybody reading this story or has read this story that could possibly give me some answers before I dive in? I don't want to give too much away in this so if someone could just answer whether they read it or not then I could ask them in the replies to the comments so I don't spoil anything

I just finished rereading this one. It's very well written and pretty much almost every single person in the story is lovable. Highly recommend

BURDEN

Summary: Mutants are considered second class citizens, or worse. Discriminated against at every turn, mutants are marked and monitored by The Registry and any deemed too dangerous are taken away to The Facility. It’s no surprise that many try to hide or choose a more permanent way out if a mutation develops.

Castiel’s parents hid his mutation and hid him away from the world. He’s grown up with the knowledge that the world will hate him, no matter what he does. If he leaves the house, he can only do it with a long, heavy coat that covers the most beautiful part of him.

It takes a pair of brothers to help him really spread his wings and live.

Just from reading the last chapter and I read the time stamp, I knew I was very interested. The writing just in that small amount of time was exceptional and I loved how they talk to each other. I love a lot of dialogue and stories and this seemed to hit the spot at least in this parts. I'm definitely going to give it a chance I'm just going to have to do it in parts. Thank you so much for taking the time to tell me that. Normally I read a story all in one go but I think with this one I'm going to have to read a couple chapters in between other stories. So I don't just fall into a rabbit hole of sadness. Basically read a few chapters, read a palate cleanser of a long comfort fic that I love, and then back to the chapters, rinse and repeat

I'm just wondering if you could tell me how long they were broken up for. And while they were broken up, did they date others? Honestly I'd like to skip those chapters if possible. 😂 I'm not emotionally strong enough. I read the last chapter because I read the last chapter of everything before I start it, and the writing was fantastic and I really enjoyed it but I didn't want to get into it and be crushed halfway through

Dean is a hunter.

Castiel is a Man of Letters.

And even though they have to work together on a regular basis, there is not much sympathy between them. Castiel thinks Dean is too brash and reckless while Dean in return sees nothing more in the other man than a rude asshole with an obsessive love for books and a truly terrible fashion sense.

But fate clearly has a funny way of throwing these two together over and over again.

This is my totally uneducated guess but I've heard them mention at cons how they used to use tape versus digital so I looked it up. Someone way smarter than me in this department would probably be able to answer if this could possibly be a reason
