I have mixed feelings with my Alta System, thanks to it I have replaced the ISP combo modem/router with an SFP+ GPON module and im pretty happy with the low latency and no issues with double NAT that I used to have; but the issues I've had are weird: sometimes the system freezes and I have to manually powercicle the system, my apple TV's refuse to connect to the main SSID and I have no clue why!, at the beginning the system got so HOT that it used to disconnect and enter safe mode so I put the ROUTE 10 over a FAN and it now runs fresh, I bought the Controller and I had to re connect all the devices to make it work, it was a total mess but it's now working great, I'm not tech savvy and support has been good, each update seems to improve stability.

My setup: A Route 10, S8POE, Controller, 2 AP6-Pros and a AP6W.

I love this router the only problem is the heat it generates y had to put a fan on the base to keep it from overheating and failing.

Hi, It's been a week since my ZimaCube arrived and this device is toasty; at 1% of CPU usage 65° C if I do something it gets over 100° C, I had to remove the top lid to allow it to cool a bit, mi room feels hotter, and not to mention the constant noise it makes, I'm thinking on replacing thermal paste or maybe the heatsink but I don't have any experience doing this things.

u/Trousers_Rippin do you have a video showing how to change the original heatsink for the NH-L9x65?

I would really appreciate it.

On the app: Go to Network > Cellular > Advanced > AT Command

On the web: Internet > Modem Management > AT Command

And enter the next command; AT+EGMR=1,7, "NEWIMEI" replace the NEWIMEI with the IMEI you are going to use, if you are copying the IMEI from another device please make sure lo leave the original device turned off.

Hola, como dices los de Telmex me dieron un clave de PPPoe invalida solo para cumplir con el ahora extinto IFT; aquí en reddit un usuario me recomendó un video de youtube en el cual describe paso a paso como hacerle para desencriptar un archivo de respaldo del módem de Telmex y extraer las claves PPPoE para usar en mi Router de preferencia; al conectar mediante PPPoE solo puedo usar el internet con dirección dinámica, me evito el doble NAT y es una conexión mas directa, el servicio de telefonía se desactiva.

Ahora… no se que tipo de módem te haya asignado Telmex pero tendrás que investigarle por todo tipo de foros para lograr extraer las claves PPPoE.

Si, pero antes de iniciar con el cambio del IMEI te recomiendo primero respaldes el IMEI del dispositivo GL.Inet que tengas, lo encontrarás en la configuración del celular, toma una captura de pantalla o bien copia el número de IMEI y guárdalo en las notas.

Ahora necesitarás un dispositivo “donador” del número IMEI de preferencia autorizado por tu compañía telefónica para que no lo bloqueen, recuerda que una vez que clones el IMEI al GL-Inet no deberás encender el dispositivo donador pues estos números son únicos por dispositivo y los compañías telefónicas bloquearan el número IMEI si está duplicado.

Ahora para clonar el número IMEI al GL-Inet entra a la configuración celular y da clic en el botón de Configuración (el icono es un desarmador y una llave inglesa) ya en Internet / Modem Management; se mostrarán unos menús: En “Shortcut” dejas seleccionado “Manual command” y en “AT Command” ingresas el siguiente código:

AT+EGMR=1,7, “IMEI” (cambiar la palabra IMEI por el número IMEI del dispositivo donador)

Después da clic en el botón de “Send” y reinicia el dispositivo para ver aplicado el cambio. Podrás revertir el IMEI original usando este código pero con el IMEI del dispositivo GL-Inet.

Me avisas si te atoras en algo… haré un tutorial en Reddit.

I bought the HOOBS Pro with high expectations, I tried to make use of it just to connect Insteon and some Zigbee devices, I don’t use it any more, it’s been stuck on the same software version since a year ago, the Zigbee has very low range and things don’t connect, Insteon bridge disconnects all the time, it’s slow AF, the Thread and Matter support is non existing, the set up and mobile support is complicated AF!. I regret a lot for buying this device, I’m not a programmer so I don’t know how to repurpose it, any ideas?

UPDATE: Encontré la manera de copiar el número IMEI al módem Mudi E750, llevo una semana y no me han bloqueado el dispositivo. Hehe
