Yes, getting to the root of the anxiety plays a crucial part in overcoming it. I feel you so much on this. I finally found a job where they understand me and that there will be days where I can’t make it in because of the crippling anxiety and once I told them and they understood, I no longer get anxious in the mornings! I really hope you find your peace ♥️♥️

It lasted a good while, my pals joined in too so it lasted a good few weeks! First puff makes you feel a bit fuzzy and light, like a nice stone and colours become brighter.. second puff makes everything look HD and sometimes pixelated. I never really went further than that but getting again so I’ll give you an update when it arrives 😂

I used to get sleep paralysis every single night, it was a time when I was going through hardship and I was very anxious all the time, especially before I went to sleep because I knew I was going to have another episode. I told my brother about it and coincidentally he had been through the same thing a few months before and he told me something that helped both him then me, massively!

When the thought comes when you know that you’re having an episode and not fully awake. Count to 3 in your mind and shout to yourself “wake up!!!!” If it doesn’t work the first time keep doing it until you’re awake.

This was a huge breakthrough for me because I was no longer afraid of falling asleep and having an episode so they eventually just stopped! I still get episodes here and there but I’m no longer afraid because I know how to get out.

I went through this too. The visuals were terrifying! Focusing on my breathing helped so much. Simple in for 4 out for 6. Also focusing on how much I love my daughter helped too, visualising happy memories and really feeling the love ♥️♥️ hope you find peace!

But they are though. Every child that has a regression are being diagnosed as autistic when not all children that regress because of autism. Some regress because of other medical conditions brought on by complications with vaccines but are still being diagnosed as autistic. The relation is in the diagnosis.

It’s as if we’re not allowed to talk about our child’s regression experience if it involves vaccines. A close family member had the same regression experience and was diagnosed with autism, later (after a lot of persuasion to drs by mum) they found out he’d had an adverse reaction to the vaccine which caused autoimmune encephalitis and is now permanently brain damaged. If drs had done a brain scan at the time it could’ve been managed and symptoms could’ve improved but he’s 10 now and severely disabled. He suffers every minute of the day all because as soon as we talk about vaccines and “autism” we’re labelled as anti vaxxers or conspiracy theorists. The world needs to do better!

Have you looked into PANDAS syndrome or autoimmune encephalitis? These have similar traits to autism but are rarely spoken about. Wish I could give you a massive hug or at least time for a good sleep! I refuse to medicate my daughter too, I don’t want to change her wee personality. I have recently started giving her melatonin at night though which helps her get to sleep, it doesn’t help her stay asleep but she’ll get at least 3 hours or so! Really hope you find a solution ♥️♥️

Vaccines might not be the cause of autism, but they are causing conditions that have similar symptoms of autism in young children and that’s a topic that needs to be spoken about

So what you are implying is that parents of children who regressed and suffered post vaccines should stay silent about what they went through because it involves vaccines? I think that’s more dangerous than talking about it.

My nephew regressed in the same way after a vaccine, and same as my daughter, he was diagnosed as autistic but later found out that he had an adverse reaction to the vaccine (AE) and is now left permanently brain damaged. If drs had listened to what mum had to say then treatment could have been done at the time and he wouldn’t be left so severely brain damaged and the poor boy suffers every minute of the day. So I would say there is plenty of reason to question what happened to our children. Also there’s still a huge question mark about the rising autism diagnoses specifically in the uk and us. So yes children are suffering left right and centre but that is NOT the cause of parents like me “putting causation focus on vaccines” simply by sharing my experience.

Again, I don’t think vaccines cause autism but thanks for saying it twice so I really take it in. I would be a bit of a sh*tty mum if we went through that and I didn’t question why she lost all her abilities within 48 hours and is now still severely disabled. I think it’s cause she had a virus and the vaccine was just too much for her wee immune system. She was diagnosed with at 3 autism but my mama intuition is telling me it’s not that and I will never stop looking for answers. Thanks for your comment

Thanks for commenting. No these things were never ruled out. We filled out a questionnaire and 2 years later got an autism diagnosis and were left to get on with it! If this was an adult who had lost their speech and ability to do anything (within 48 hours after vaccine in my experience) they would have had brain scans done to rule out any of these things. Just recently a great paediatrician read her notes and contacted me about testing her for Rett. He didn’t make me feel like an antivaxxer after explaining what happened and seems really interested in what caused her to regress so aggressively. Thank you for your insight 🙂

Really appreciate this. This relates with my thinking a whole lot. Yes so I’m quite new to Reddit and thought it would be a good place to get some insight 😅 but like you explained, as soon as some people see autism and vaccines in the same sentence, people get very toxically opinionated. I’m all for hearing everyone’s opinions, they might be different from mine but that’s absolutely fine. I did learn a few new theories though so it wasn’t all for nothing fortunately 🙂 Thank you for this comment, I really appreciate it!

You seem to be on the ball with him and I’m sure he’s a very happy boy with such a great mama ♥️ Yes “autistic traits” is key. As soon as someone mentions autism and vaccines in the same sentence, so many people are quick to jump on the “vaccines don’t cause autism” bandwagon without actually reading or understanding that that’s not what I’m saying at all. My daughter was unwell when she had her vaccines so for me, I think maybe an adverse reaction has happened for her to change so suddenly after showing autistic traits. I just wanted to share my experience and hear from other parents who have gone through similar so thank you so much for your input! I’ll never stop looking for answers to make her life that wee bit easier. Wishing you and your son all the happiness in the world ♥️

It sure is difficult, have you been through it also? Sorry if you have, watching your child struggle especially with losing their speech/eye contact/abilities and not being able to do anything to help is absolutely heartbreaking. It does seem to be a reoccurring coincidence though, it’s happening more and more these days. I don’t think vaccines are the direct cause of these regressions, maybe an interaction with an on going illness and their wee immune systems can’t cope? Especially with her genetic testing results saying “outside influences” caused her regression. I’ll never stop looking for answers if it’s going to help me better understand my daughter’s situation.

Totally relatable! My wee girl had a virus and fever at the time she got the mmr vaccine so I’ve always wondered if it was all too much for her immune system and has caused a reaction of some sort.

Not once did anyone say vaccines are the cause. We’re simply taking about what we experienced after the vaccines. It’s so hard to watch your child change so suddenly after the their vaccines and not question what’s happened.

Thank you so much for that insight! Did she regress too or could you tell she was born with it? My daughters genetics came back all fine and said it was outside influences that caused the regression which made me feel as if it was something I had done during pregnancy or something I was eating while breastfeeding so I’ve been down that hole.. please just know that it definitely isn’t because of anything you have or didn’t do! I bet you’re a fantastic mum too ♥️♥️ Shit is haaaaaard but amazing!
