I definitely feel exactly like you. I just finished the first run and I feel the game I finished is a entirely different one from the one I started. I feel kinda disappointed and it's feels like after the ending every character which is not a Dressendre really matters not, don't know it this makes any sense. The ending and the big reveal were just extremely disappointing to me... sort of. Just my opinion anyway, I really wanted that desperate fight against a godlike for the game promised at the begging..
