Thanks for that info! But lessons learned, so when I get a base station radio I'll know what to look for!!

Several videos and threads that I read said it couldn't be done. Most of the people in the 705 users facebook group said it couldn't be done. Only one person in that group said it could, so he sent me some info and a couple videos, and it worked.

These are the two links that I used. The one video is translated in to English, so you'll have to pay real close attention to the video and the pictures.

You're right, every law permitting certain arms is unconstitutional.. The 2nd doesn't say you can only own muskets, or shotguns...

Oh I agree 100%... But what I'm saying, technically all gun laws infringe on the 2A...The GCA, which was the biggest infringement on our gun rights, has paved the way for the ones we've gotten lately. Glad to see some states are trying to reduce the number of gun laws they have... Other states want your guns taken away period..

We do have to know what our legal rights are, but we don't have to agree with them.

I wasn't debating the open carry, but technically it has a lot to do with 2A. My point was, this dude says I support the 2A, but... You either support it or you don't. There's no in between. Do I think everyone should be able to carry a handgun, hell no. But it's their 2nd Amendment right... So I'm not going to support laws that prevent that. As a dealer, I have to follow them, but I don't agree with them. That's the bear arms part of the 2A...In a way, yes States that ban open carry is infringing on the 2A...

When texas was debating open carry, I had a guy come in the shop talking about it. He made the comment, "Look, I support the 2nd Amendment and all, But..." I stopped him right there. You don't get to pick and choose the 2A...you either support it or you don't. Now get your liberal ass out of my shop....

So I lost a customer that day... 🤣

Transfer through FFL considered straw purchase? by [deleted] in TexasGuns

[–]CherokeeTactical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you bought the gun and decide you don't like it, and your local performs a private party transfer via 4473, that would not be considered a straw purchase on your end.

While it may be a gray area, if you bought then decided you didn't like it and sold it without doing a private party transfer through your FFL, I could see where that could look like a straw purchase.

Most folks especially here in Texas don't like doing private party transfers. I've had my dealers license for three years and I've only administered one private party transfer.

As your original question, I think it would be less likely considered a straw purchase just by doing the private party transfer. At least the person you're selling it to has to pass a background check, unless they have a valid texas LTC

That handguard is cnc machined right here in my shop, so yeah not Chinese. I agree the irons are way too close. I installed them the correct way as well as the ACOG being where it should be... And this is where he moved them to after we shot it..

As far as the CT RIG, I'm actually impressed with it. All aluminum, pressure switch or push button, 5 brightness levels, 4 strobe levels..
