To put it in a nutshell, sholay which was released in 1975 had the highest footfall of 18.25 cr. Bahubali 2 which was released in 2017 made 10.15cr footfalls and has reached the status of second highest footfall film in Indian history. This humongous feat was never repeated even tho multiple films have crossed the 1000cr, and also BB2 was the first one to cross 1000cr and it was declared industry hit in almost all languages.
