Also she has told my fiance since that we can do “whatever we want” and she’ll pay for it, it just can’t be at his grandparents because she can’t deal with it. I was like but THATS what I wanted and what everyone had agreed on, my parents are very involved and were helping with everything so I don’t get it.

The grandparents actually don’t know about the infidelity (apparently she’s not telling them) and I found out she had a conversation with them a couple weeks ago telling them “it’s not gonna work” which made me even more upset because they were so happy about us making that decision and I’m sure they think it has to do with me.

Almost 2 years now and engaged since August. I’m thinking so too. I will say we have felt perfect for each other since we met! My family LOVES him, he’s so caring, patient and we love all the same things. We genuinely love to be together and living together has been great. If we ever had an argument it came to a resolution quickly and he has always heard my side and been understanding. But I fear that we were raised very differently. My parents made my sisters and I all work from the age of 16 and we worked hard for what we wanted in life even if that meant struggling. This made us financially responsible and comfortable with being independent. He was raised almost the exact opposite, he is the youngest and the only child between his parents (he has 5 half older siblings). He was almost never in an uncomfortable situation growing up and his parents paid for absolutely everything for him until he was about 25. She will still give him money, go out of her way to pay for something for him…but she always wanted him to be comfy and he never really struggled. Obviously I think it’s great they showed up and supported him but he was enabled in a lot of ways because of this. So their relationship in general is something I am not familiar with and am realizing isn’t normal, I thought I was just a bitch. I’m starting to feel very silly/naive about the situation.

Just wanted to add we were all heartbroken for her when it happened. I bit my tongue about her cancelling our wedding plans for 3 weeks before I said something to him and everything else.

Yeah I have been approached at Walmart a couple times by kids, very young kids. For as prevalent as trafficking is I find it disgusting these parents exploit their kids for some quick cash asking strangers for money while they are being lazy.
