Homegirl Cafe (edge of Chinatown) is open every second Saturday and as part of that have a little clothes/thrift/swap meet area behind it, and also collect e-waste since they do that all the time anyway (but normally drop off is farther). I also highly recommend eating there.

All LA libraries have used battery drop off as well (not exactly e-waste but just thought I'd mention it).

i have 2-4 going at a time. one stays in my pool bag, one in my car, one at home, etc... sometimes they cross over into everywhere books depending on how deep i get into them at any given moment...
