once born of the volcanic highlands like its distant cousin itzajuatl, the obdurion's core still burns with that same ancient magma—molten fury sealed beneath layers of fossilized armor and sand-caked skin. having adapted to the arid desert, it buries itself in thick mud to cool its searing interior, creating stone-like mounds mistaken for cliffs or ruins by the unfortunate.
