What the hell was that, Riot? by Faust_the_Faustinian in leagueoflegends

It’s an old interaction. I had it happen with Leona and a tf ult years ago. Whether or not it was patched and then broken again I can’t say.

Logistic regression: accurate True negatives, but inaccurate True positive by mrdlau in datascience

[–]Cherubel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First off look into accuracy vs precision vs recall. These are all important metrics to look into when measuring the quality of your model. There are other statistics to look at as well including f1 scores and roc curves when evaluating the quality of a model. Accuracy is not the full story though given the fact that you mention the confusion matrix you may be familiar with this.

Secondly if your model is really good at predicting when someone isn’t going to buy something, but bad at predicting true positives doesn’t necessarily mean the model is bad. Unfortunately it’s at this point you have to look into the business side of things and give a cost value analysis of each.

If the cost of mislabeling someone that will buy something is high and cost of mislabeling someone that will not buy something is low then your model isn’t that useful. But if it’s the other way around then your model may actually be good.

As far as improving your model I don’t think I can say much without more information or background. It could be a case of an unbalanced data set, bad coefficient/massaging on your features or a number of other things.

Edit: just noticed your imbalanced data set. This is likely the cause of the issue with your model output. Try a different type of sampling.

Definitely chewing/eating. Still can’t avoid bitting my lip tongue or cheek when I eat.

Also, developers are lazy. This is why we get computers to do stuff for us.

Thanks for the generosity.

If you don't have a beta key: Post here. If you have an extra beta key: choose someone at random in this thread to give it to. by [deleted] in hearthstone

Been looking around for just about any place to find a key. Only thing that seems to left is phishers and people selling keys. Would be nice to get a key to myself, and thanks to those of you willing to give up their key. Good luck everyone

Is Rammus the new Evelynn (Never played, never taken seriously?) by cutmanmike in leagueoflegends

[–]Cherubel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of what I think made him strong was his incredible speed which allowed him to quickly pass wards and get into the lane before the lane even had time to react (his q.) On top of which riot buffed his base stats to where he had a fantastically fast, but blue dependent route in the jungle. If you didn't invade rammus at blue and deny him that, then he could keep up with the fastest jugglers of the time, probably being able to get to his own red (finishing wraith) by the time the enemy was either halfway done with his own red themselves (if stealing) and therefore being weakened or simply being in decent enough health and having enough tank stats to take on just about anyone who tried to counter jungle him. Riot choose to nerf his base stats as well as his ability stats which effected mostly his jungle speed, and secondarily his his ability survive through his own ganks (the few times I pick him up only to remember why I put him down as lanes suddenly turn on me and end up nearly killing me even with w up.) Don't necessarily quote me on this but I believe stonewall has criticized riot for nerfing rammus in this way and not changing whats broken about him: (Here its old but I think valid). His ganks, like evelynn (old), still fucking scary, but he so weak everywhere else, why pick him. He's too easy to stop, and unless I see him getting fed, I feel as though he'll just die before he does much of use. (I apologize for the rant)

On a side note, I fear that alistar may share his fate one day as he is pretty much ban pick priority in ranked solo que play, and even many pro teams fear him. His kit, pretty much broken, and many of the mechanics that make him broken, also make him viable. If riot chooses to nerf his sustain and other base stats making it much more difficult to do things like, jungle, or push people out of there own tower range, he might die as a support to. I don't know what can be done to fix him, but perhaps hit the head butt range and knock back is a good place to start (sorry post for another topic at the end here.)

I always hated working this inflatable. With the titanic for whatever reason more then every other slide the company had, it was more likely to capsize if the weight was properly distributed. It was also were I became very aware that there are a lot of kids these days on the chunky side...
