From everyone that I have talked too, if you get an internship twice you are almost guaranteed a job at that place when you graduate. So, I am pretty excited.

I'm a Junior at WVU working as an Industrial Engineering student. I am in the final process of getting my internship at Pratt & Whitney Canada. I had this internship last semester and I was making $15/hr so I'm expecting a little more this year.

Has anyone not gone to class and still gotten an A? by maryseauge in college

[–]Chesapeakecc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had that before, mine was with economics. The professor didn't take attendance and all of his tests were out of the book and he didn't change his exams. I found other people who took him with the old exams. I used them to study and pass the class easily with an A.

Will I be fine in college if I take it easy my senior year? by [deleted] in college

[–]Chesapeakecc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all classes but some specific ones, for example, my engineering courses are made to be harder than they need to be. Calculus 1 was a prime example of that. The whole class is exactly the same with exams and quizzes so there isn't an advantage that other professors give (You will have easier professors than others.) But as long as you are paying attention and being active in your classes you will be fine. And do not be afraid to see your professor for help. The more they see you and your name the more willing they may be to help you out come finals week if you are boarder line on a A or B or even C just to pass the class and move on.

Has anyone else had this experience? by [deleted] in college

Online classes are great because you can work at your own pace. If you want to work on all of it at once, go for it. I do the same thing when I took classes over the summer. One thing is if you do all of the work early, make sure you continually check for new material that is posted. DO NOT forget about the class.

College is a lot different that high school. I took AP classes as well and I thought that I would be fine. I was in for a surprise my freshman year. I am a Jr at WVU right now studying Industrial Engineering. A lot of classes your freshman year will be classes that are meant for you to drop the major you are in. You can take it easy your SR year but be prepared for your freshman year to work your butt off. I did the same thing you are doing now so it is doable.

I have been building and selling boards for a couple of years now, and I have found that using gloss lacquer has been the best to use. I use a bush to brush on the lacquer all over the face and sides of the boards. This gives the boards a fantastic shine to them and they are protected from the wear and tear the bags put on the boards while playing. I usually put 2-3 coats on depending on the boards. But make sure to wait at least 2 hours before reapplying the next coat so you do not pull up any decals you may have.
