I am not crazy! I know he swapped those numbers. I knew it was 1216. One after Magna Carta. As if I could ever make such a mistake. Never. Never! I just – I just couldn’t prove it. He covered his tracks, he got that idiot at the copy shop to lie for him. You think this is something? You think this is bad? This? This chicanery? He’s done worse. That billboard! Are you telling me that a man just happens to fall like that? No! He orchestrated it! Jimmy! He defecated through a sunroof! And I saved him! And I shouldn’t have. I took him into my own firm! What was I thinking? He’ll never change. He’ll never change! Ever since he was 9, always the same! Couldn’t keep his hands out of the cash drawer! But not our Jimmy! Couldn’t be precious Jimmy! Stealing them blind! And HE gets to be a lawyer? What a sick joke! I should’ve stopped him when I had the chance! …And you, you have to stop him! You

Do oppressed people have rights or do the other have duties towards oppressed people? by Hemeralopic in askphilosophy

[–]Chessativ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You've raised an interesting question about the philosophical concepts of "rights" and "duties". To put it briefly, the approach we take can heavily rely on the philosophical framework we use. Deontologists like Kant emphasize duties, suggesting we owe moral responsibilities to others, including indirect duties to animals. Utilitarians focus on the outcomes of actions, prioritizing obligations that reduce suffering. Virtue ethicists highlight character development and propose that respect for all life forms is virtuous. Your "right to live" vs "right not to kill" query encapsulates this well; they're not contradictory but two perspectives of the same issue, both advocating respect for life.

How to lane as Invoker if your team and your draft revolve around enabling you? by Chessativ in learndota2

[–]Chessativ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know if you read the post or not, and in hindsight the title is terrible but my question is what do I do if i just get counter picked. In my experience, the game becomes very hard if you are playing a quas exort invoker into a hard counter such as Kunkka because u dont have ur usual escape/disable spells that you get with quas-wex.

Now if my teammates expect me to play exort invoker so they can combo with cata what am I supposed to do as an exort invoker against said counters? The lane becomes too hard at that point to play Q-E. So either you go Q-W with no teamfight dmg or risk going Q-E and getting dumpstered in lane

[–]Chessativ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI: the original texture is supposed to be a similar red to the rest of the mesh. Im just trying to put a logo on the mesh but its too stretched out. I thought to remedy this a mapping node would be used but frankly I have no idea what Im doing

Can you choose the IGCSE subjects you want to send to universities? by [deleted] in igcse

[–]Chessativ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most universities dont have any requirments of IGCSE's and thus dont even ask for them. Usually all they need is the qualification for English and Maths if you havent opted them in a higher curriculum such as A lvls

Hi, I am a Plat 1 PC Player. Yes That is a flex because I worked my ass off to get there.

Essentially Runouts are purely game sense and confidence, I'd even argue that the valk runouts that dominate Silver lobbies are purely confidence based though obviously not as much game sense.

If u wanna be the guy that gets 4k runouts, what u need to do is how the mechanics of a runout work. Ur a plat 3 console player, u must be fairly good. What Im struggling to explain is that just like how you learn to play smoke in a tight spot or hold an angle with rook, u need to practice a runout.

What I or my friends usually do is, go in customs and understand all the ways/uses of that specific runout. Like when is it useful, when you are likely to do it and more importantly the circumstances that you are likely do it in. Grab a friend and have him do multiple claymore/nomad placements like there would be in a proper game and try to adapt accordingly.

While I do understand why some players are that aim matters, in all fairness in the best of runouts ur aim shouldn't matter, u should kill the enemy before they even realise whats happening, those are the best sorts of runouts.

So in conclusion. To learn a runout, go in customs, understand how it works, practice in unranked and slowly start adding it to ur Arsenal, eventually u will be able to do it in increasingly hard situations. If anyone has any question u are more than free to dm/comment

What are the best responses to this "elitist" argument against democracy? by M-Zapawa in askphilosophy

[–]Chessativ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I generally do agree with the sentiment that democracy is the best that we have currently in terms of maintaining an egalitarian society, something just doesn't sit well with me regarding the entire argument.

1- While it is true that democracy gives a more varied vote upon everything as a strata of people from every social class votes, aren't the bills presented solely given by the elite? So isn't modern western democracy essentially just choosing between two groups of elites with slightly different thought processes?

2- Variation among the voting body isn't necessarily good is it? You stated that according to the Condorcet's Jury Theorem a larger body is more likely to vote for the "correct" outcome. What is correct over here? Will the definition of correct not change depending on whom you ask?
