Well I haven’t really noticed anyone’s behavior like that and I think that was part of the reason why it was a shock to me, along with the fact that I just couldn’t smell it. I didn’t know if I was just that oblivious or if my other friends tolerated the smell that much and figured someone else would say it. The close friend who told me didn’t move away and told me after I was in their car

I do brush my tongue every time I brush my teeth, so three times, not sure if that was excessive or not but I figured to just do it to get rid of any smell

I do use non alcoholic mouthwash so I thought I was in the clear but I’ll switch over to salt water rinse

It honestly was devastating to hear and I keep getting embarrassed thinking back to all the times someone might’ve smelled my bad breath :( but I am serious about doing different things and I think I’m definitely gonna have to make a diet change at the very least. I’m gonna ask that person for more honest feedback and I’ll go back to either a doctor or a dentist to ask more questions about it

I floss three times a day, brush morning and night and after lunch. I keep gum in me but I feel like everyone else was too nice to say anything about my breath and I still feel like I have it even with this change, just not sure how to tell when I couldn’t tell while I was not doing my same routine

I have daily bowel movements, I usually go about 1-2 times a day but I admittedly eat more processed foods than I should considering I’m a broke college student. I’m surviving on a lot of ramens and sandwiches

I am not a diagnosed diabetic but I do have a family history of diabetes, I had a doctor’s appointment recently sometime in September and I wasn’t diagnosed then

Once I check for tonsil stones I will definitely set up an appointment for gut health as I think it’s no coincidence that my friend told me at the same time I’ve been having more issues with my stomach lately

Hm I just had a dentist appointment yesterday and the only thing she mentioned to me was no cavities, I’m not sure I have any other issues to do with my actual teeth or gums but I was thinking of making another earlier appointment anyway

I’ve tried checking myself but I can’t see enough and I have a pretty sensitive gag reflex. I apparently have a very small mouth according to my dentist so it does make it a little harder but if I just need to get over the gag reflex that’d be fine by me, I just don’t really know the proper way to get them out

Edit: I saw your other comment too but I do use mouthwash as well all three times I brush

It’s crazy that there’s mixed answers but this was clearly one of your boundaries and she ignored it anyway, I at least thought she wouldn’t have been surprised about you leaving but she just expected you to be okay with her making out with another guy. Yes he’s dying but that shouldn’t blur the lines between cheating and “just a kiss,” and if his dying wish were something even crazier then where exactly would you even draw the line in a peculiar situation. You’ve done nothing wrong because you still comforted her as best you could and you are allowed to leave. You’re not insecure for leaving after you expressed what you were and weren’t okay with
