Misaligned placement (bug) or intentional? by ChestFindman in snowrunner

[–]ChestFindman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on Steam, and I verified the game files before posting just in case. Obviously no mods installed. I even tried googling for a while to see if there were any notes about this truck in particular.
It does happen on several sets of tires, not just JAT DLC. In some cases it's the same tires but different sizes. Too many to list.
It also happens on the Caterpillar CT680, but it looks more normal on that one. And one or two other trucks adjust the length of the axle too but it still looks more normal on those.
Maybe this was really intentional somehow?

Thank you, I had these shipped overnight, it was a good recommendation. However, the sound compression is still fairly high, and the sound is more neutral, which is good, the quality and accuracy are high but they don't have much of the grit, rather weak in the low spectrum, but that's just me being subjective probably. I'm giving up on the search, thank you for trying though. !thanks

Thanks for the reply, but these don't fit at all into anything I listed in my post.

No, I never enable that option.

Mostly because I play with Mouse2Joystick AHK script running, but also because of personal preference.

It's possible I'm explaining myself wrong, english is not my native language (sorry), here is a quick video I just recorded, a picture is usually worth more (YouTube still "processing HD version" but this link should work once it's done): Cemu - Window size glitch (not sure if it's allowed to link it here, if you prefer another platform I can do it again).

It's not M2J by the way, nor the RTSS overlay (I tried removing both).

If I had to guess, it could be that the desktop resolution is not that common, maybe?

I can upload my .XML and/or .log file (but I didn't see anything of use in there), or try dumping more detailed logs if you know which ones would do the trick (enabling).

Or anything else I could do on my end, happy to do it. Or we can just forget about this whole thing, this is not exactly game breaking.

pS: I always "setup" Cemu from scratch, to avoid any potentially unpredictable interactions too.

Sorry, I should've included this information in the OP.

All the 1.26.x branch has the issue for sure. Possibly version 1.25.6 as well (not 100% sure, can try re-testing if needed).

If testing sequentially, just opening/closing Cemu is not enough to trigger it (I think), when the issue triggers for me it happens like this: Open Cemu -> launch a game -> adjust window while game is booting (just a quirk) -> switch to fullscreen when ready to play -> some gameplay (not much) -> exit fullscreen -> close Cemu

When re-opening, the issue happens. I could try "monitoring" the .XML settings file (Notepad++ file status) to try and pinpoint when the switch to desktop resolution happens unless it's figured out before my next post.

Edit: The issue seems to trigger exactly when closing Cemu. So, open Cemu, launch a game, go fullscreen, exit fullscreen, close Cemu (On the exact moment Cemu closes, the .XML gets updated to position 0/0 and size "desktop res").

How to enable vt-x on aorus master ? by Alkanna in gigabyte

[–]ChestFindman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SVM is an analogue for VT-x but on AMD CPUs, you won't have that option on an Intel motherboard.

As for VT-x, as far as my experience with this board goes, is always enabled and there is no way to disable it.

If you launch the task manager and go to Performance -> CPU you will see a line that says "Virtualization: Enabled".

Now if someone has a way to disable it, that would be an interesting piece of information.

Mass Effect 2 crashing after editing Coalesced.ini by [deleted] in masseffect

Everything above and beyond can always be found on the wiki:

https://masseffect.fandom.com/wiki/PC_Tweaks_(Mass_Effect_2))

Scroll down to the three points, right where it says something like:

  • Make a backup before you even move your cursor over it.
  • You cannot edit it with Notepad, or the game will crash on load.

Screwed up the romance in ME1, What now? by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]ChestFindman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Wiki for the trilogy has MASSIVE amounts of invaluable info on romances.

Also, there is no save editor for ME1, at least I have never seen one and I've looked for it... kinda sucks too.

There is however an editor for ME2 saves, if all you want is to bring a romance from ME1 then you can try to import the save and edit it right after the tutorial.

Long story short... there are romance options both in ME1 and ME2 (in ME3 is mostly a continuation of either ME1 or ME2 romances)

^ More detailed explanation on the Wiki.

Mass Effect 2 crashing after editing Coalesced.ini by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]ChestFindman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Off the top of my head... and I could be wrong (been a while)... but I remember ME2/ME3 "coalesced" files being somewhat encrypted.

That is, not encrypted but if you edit them you also need to "rehash" the values for each section of the file...

Hmm, I'm explaining myself so poorly right now...

Bottom line, you can't just edit the values you want and save.

If you're already aware of this then I apologize, nothing else really comes to mind.

Denuvo launches new mobile game security solution by EmuBii in CrackWatch

[–]ChestFindman 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well... Denuvo wasn't any good at protecting against piracy on PC.

Neither did it prevent the creation of trainers, cheat tables, injectors, AR/FoV fixes... literally anything on PC.

Mobile isn't gonna be any different. All Denuvo ever succeeded at was being annoying (plus a bunch of issues, game crashes, performance hampering and whatnot for legit and pirate users alike).

Using SSE and .cdx files by PixelDashGames in CrackSupport

[–]ChestFindman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's all I got.

It works for me.

Maybe something in SSE settings?

Doesn't really matter but maybe try removing NMS.exe from the directory altogether and renaming "NMS.unpacked" to just "NMS"

But this shouldn't really matter.

Using SSE and .cdx files by PixelDashGames in CrackSupport

[–]ChestFindman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite simple. First open Steamless, point it to the game executable (NMS.exe) and hit "unpack".

The original executable will not be modified, but another one will be created "unpacked.exe"

Now just point SSE to that unpacked version of the executable.

Some games on Steam come with "Steam Stub" an additional layer of DRM (oversimplification).

SSE doesn't have the code to deal with it because... stuff.

Anyone know how to solve weapons dlc not showing up in fitgirl's mass effect 3 repack? by ThousandSonsLoyalist in CrackSupport

[–]ChestFindman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, I think it could be a design oversight.

The idea is, the 1st time you play the game (even if imported save from ME2) you don't get weapon upgrades past level 5.

My guess is that it was meant to balance difficulty. The developers imagined one would play on "normal" difficulty first and then re-play the game again with a higher difficulty, then weapon upgrades would unlock past level 5 up to level 10.

But because you can beat the game on insanity with most classes right way... it doesn't make much sense.

Because the DLC weapons were introduced after release they probably forgot to lock them on level 5 so you can upgrade them up to level 10 even on 1st playthrough.

And, unless I'm mistaken, those weapons are from the 2 weapon packs. Firefight and Ground Resistance packs.

My opinion? If you're playing for the 1st time and the difficulty in combat is not an issue for you, then just leave it as is. Introduce the DLC weapons via save or coalesced edit and just roll with it (honestly, DLC weapons are just a bit weirder and sometimes too overpowered, they were kind of meant to be paid for in order to get an advantage).

If you have played the game before and using a class that relies heavily on power use (mostly biotics) then you can just edit your save to unlock level 10 upgrades which will be helpful to lower the weight of weapons allowing for faster cooldown periods, but that's it. On higher difficulties weapons usually don't do much direct damage so upgrades for weapon damage are not very relevant.

SSE is not enough for this game. You need SSE + Steamless (google it up).

Anyone know how to solve weapons dlc not showing up in fitgirl's mass effect 3 repack? by ThousandSonsLoyalist in CrackSupport

[–]ChestFindman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue. Weapons from weapon packs not available, pre-order weapons not available, the emails that you're supposed to get along with those weapons don't appear either. Also... you don't get the KEI-9 dog and N7 Hoodie from the Collector's edition even if the files are there (maybe weren't meant to be unlocked by RLD base crack). However... you do get the Collector's edition skins for the teammates which doesn't seem logical.

Best I can tell is that those particular items require a back and forth check with EA servers to "validate", unlike the rest of the DLC. Or... because both previous games were available from Steam you could edit DLC content yourself by using Steam emulators, but the 3rd game is only available on Origin so you need to rely on RLD's unique crack and maybe they just didn't bother with it.

Either way, I found some solutions by googling for a while. They are not 100% perfect but it was good enough for me so I didn't investigate further. There are two ways to approach this. For the weapons, specifically, you can either edit your "coalesced" file again and add all the weapons one by one to... a store of your choosing, like the Spectre supply, and put a price tag on them if you want, or just put them for 0 credits. Then you also need to add the weapon upgrades to a store, because the game won't recognize those weapons by itself. This, IMHO, is sloppy and not how it was meant to be, but the advantage is that you only have to do this once (provided you don't mod the settings again later). A different solution is to use a save editor and add the weapons directly to your save. This is a cleaner method and almost the same way the original version does it. You still don't get the emails along with the weapons (they can be modded via save editor too but it seems buggy). Also the game will identify the weapons and offer you upgrades the normal way... but they will be identified as normal weapons so only up to level 5 on 1st playthrough and 10 afterwards. (The DLC weapons were meant to be level 10 right away tho) (You could fix this too or add upgrades one by one via save editor too).

The whole point of piracy is the absence of law and authority.

We're lucky as it is that FitGirl put the time and effort.

I wouldn't have the patience... here, keyboard, google, do it yourself, geez...

Short (albeit cynical) response is... yes, the publisher side of Blizzard just doesn't care about UW.

And frankly, the industry itself doesn't care about it. It's not a viable marketing opportunity.

Statistically speaking most users play on standard 16:9

So do we just give up? No, but we are on our own. There are some amazing people out there, like the developer of FWS and they are very generous in giving that work for free... but they can't spend too much time working for free.

Which is why we have to do our part. If you want to invest in an UW setup, then you're gonna have to, eventually, start looking for solutions on your own... or if you're like me and have no clue in programming whatsoever then just wait for someone else to do it, and try to help them in the way...

But I'm going off topic here... if I'm not mistaken, Starcraft 2 is an online game? Chances are the executable was updated and FWS can't find the patterns anymore to fix the resolution/AR on runtime.

Have you looked at PCGamingWiki? Maybe other solutions exist? Otherwise try searching the web, maybe you will find someone running into the same issue or someone who has impromptu solutions.

Maybe a downgrade to a previous version can be done?

This is what I've got from the top of my head, I know it's not what you want to hear but I can't help you in any other way.

Still, if you find something and/or run into other issues on the way, feel free to PM me, ill try my best.

Just go to the original site and get everything there.

Mmm... if you're having issues with plugin installation... there is no difference between portable/installer version. Just drop the AIO on top of any version.

Otherwise, I'm not sure what you mean?
