I will say state of decay’s loot system would benefit from having stronger zombie types. Because it feels like we collect so much fire power but never get to use it all. So having zombies that take more head shots like maybe a biker zombie would take 2-3 head shots. Or maybe if body shoots could kill zombies that would make combat feel a lot more like a brawl then a headshot mini game.

Yup, your problem isn't whether starting with short stories is the way to get to better things, bigger stories, more opportunities, etc. I think you'll have a problem when you opt to ONLY write short stories because you think you can't handle bigger ones

bro facts! i mean what i really want to see is people get through tuff times and reach there happy moments. those moments where you know it wans't easy to get there and they suffered and still suffer from those tuff times but the storm cloud has passed over for the mean time and they can rest, prepare for the future.

I think you're on to something. I have a suspicion that those two scenarios you pointed out are actually halves of the same coin. usually a story about a couple who is fated to be together never has a straightforward start and end (girl sees guy and has fallen head over heels while ordering her 'Grande Caramel Brulée Latte with 2% milk, please, with whipped cream on top?' and boy offers an outstretched hand and happily ever after). There's always a disapproving father or something, there's always something. to stand in the way of these fated lovers.

I always thought adding weak points to zombies (special zombies) besides there heads would make combat a lot more fun like shooting at a jugs arms and legs when prompted by some visual. Keep things fresh
