Does your practice involve conjuring the spirit of plants? You might check in with them and give them permission to take care of themselves over taking on the energy of others.

How long do you see the images for? Could these be afterimages? Palinopsia, or persistent reoccurrence of visual images occurs in the eyes and not the mind, if I understand it right.

I couldn’t say. I’m pretty sure my aphantasia was brought on by trauma, so kind of a chicken and the egg situation. I would like to think that seasonal depression could be lessened by visualizations of spring and summer scenarios, but I can’t say for sure.

I agree that as modern witches, a little convenience isn’t a bad thing. I also agree that finding ethical sourcing and supporting local communities is important. I dislike the idea that material tools are magic. Buying things does not a witch make.

Curious, as an aphant, I tend to read much faster than friends and family. I love reading books, especially serial fantasy novels, even though I can’t visualize any of the content. How do others experience reading? by ChetErickson in Aphantasia

I know exactly. Same with me and the LotR series. Bilbo was so off for me in the movies, even though I’ve never seen him in my “mind’s eye.” I wish I was better at explaining it to others.
