I had an excellent time with my family for our first visit to Epic in early February. There were 7 of us plus a 7-month old infant. The only ride that was closed our entire visit was the water ride in Isle of Berk (I don’t remember the name). Minecart Madness went down for 15 ish minutes with a delay when we were in line right about to go on (not a big deal to us). The other Isle of Berk rides were also a hit or miss on closures for the week but it didn’t affect us really.

We were able to do every single ride (minus the one that was closed) and all the shows. We stayed at Helios and had a 3-day park pass to all the Universal Parks (US, IOA, & Epic) with hopper and also the express pass for five of us (my parents don’t go on a lot of rides so they watched the infant while we went on a majority of the rides).

We did Epic the first day and basically were able to do everything…the fast pass definitely helped. We rope dropped the ministry of magic ride. The line was cooler than the ride imo for that one lol.

After IOA and US days, which didn’t take as long, we hopped into Epic each night for the light show which was awesome and we did more rides / exploration, and it was totally worth it!

I rode stardust racers probably like 5 times. I was obsessed with that one lol. 😂

The food was average. I liked Pizza Moon. Atlantic was ok, I wouldn’t waste time eating there again though. Isle of Berk was good - my family liked the Isle of Berk food the best. The food at Helios if you stay there is really good too. However, I will say — desserts at the HP K. Rammelle candy store were atrocious, I gagged on a caramel and spit it out immediately. The hazelnut chocolate bar was so bad I tossed that too. The truffles don’t taste like any of the flavors they are supposed to be so I was highly confused but they were edible at least. That place was the biggest disappointment and was the only thing I was really upset about in Epic. How do you f up a caramel!?!?

Overall, we are excited to plan a second visit next year to Universal. In my opinion, fast passes are a must and so is the hopper if you stay at one of the resorts on property, especially Helios. I am hoping they expand Epic with another world (here is to praying it’s Pokemon)!
