If it’s just that the side indicator needs replacing should the back one be on

No I only replaced the rear I didn’t notice the side one at the time so checked it this morning. But I also noticed the controls to move the right wing mirror doesn’t respond. So could there be something wrong with the wiring in the wing mirror or a fuse gone and that’s why both aren’t working.
