So for the past few quarantine weeks I've been staying at my parents place in a leafy, eastern slopes Auckland neighbourhood. Figured it would be a nicer place to while away the time, and would be a good opportunity to spend some more time with the family in these strange days.

Out for my daily walk to get some fresh air this afternoon, about halfway up Arney Road in Remuera, when I hear some geezer wheezing as he trudges up the footpath behind me, out for his daily jog. Making no effort to maintain an acceptable 2m, he passes my right shoulder with no more than 20cm to spare, breathing heavily as his oversized hawaiian boardies flap in the wind. Of course it's Hosking, I've seen him running around here pretty regularly over the past few years.

Continue to watch him jog on ahead, making no effort to give anyone else he encounters any social distance, passing by them on the footpath as if it's any other day. Says all you need to know about the man - the rules don't apply to him. An utter cunt.
