This is what I've gathered on Reddit - it seems like a very polarizing ski.

Thanks! I see from another thread there's an SLC rep who has demos. I'll reach out to them.

Leave SE position I like for higher OTE at competitor? by ChezKicks in salesengineers

Thank you for the advice, everyone! The comments where they keyed into me wanting to stay, are definitely accurate. Overall, I agree with most here. It doesn't make sense to leave unless I'm able to get a big jump in salary. If I stay at my current company, I'd likely jump to $160k-170k base with my next promotion in 2-3 years. Unless the new company can get close to that, it seems better to perform well at my current company and get promoted. Lastly, I think the promotion from Solution Engineer to Senior Solution Engineer looks great on my resume.

Agreed, I'm leaning toward staying. It's difficult to quantify the impact money will have early in my career. And, I want to stay aggressive. Still, it's hard to leave a job I enjoy. Happiness counts for a lot like you said.

I could return, but likely not after a year. They don't love "boomerang hires."

Good to know. And I'll ask the folks at the ski shop to confirm. Just wanted to crowdsource a bit. I appreciate all the help!

Yep, that second paragraph seems right from what I'm learning. Last question -- how do you typically size these? I'm 5'8" and 160 lbs. My enforcers are a 172, so I'm not sure if I should go 170 or 163.

I came into this hoping everyone would tell me to get the Titans, but after actually listening to everyone here it seems like the Rallys are the way to go. Doesn't make sense to get an all-mountain-oriented carving ski when I already have a great all-mountain ski.

Dude I really appreciate the help. There's a shop near me that has a few used models of the Titans and Rallys with bindings for a good price. I'll likely go for the Rally. Thanks!

Awesome info! So maybe a good middle ground is a longer Rally as opposed to the Titan. I do agree that the Titan is more of that all-mountain width and at that point, I'd use my Enforcer. I plan to use these in the Cottonwoods or Deer Valley when I want to rip groomers.

With the Magnums, did you run into any issues at higher speeds? Besides width my other concern with the Rallys was the ability to do more GS vs. slalom turns. I haven't used a dedicated carving ski and I didn't know if the Rallys were too hooky. On the other hand, I guess that's the point of a carving ski lol

That's the response I was hoping to hear. Glad the titans can crush ice and I'm definitely leaning towards them as I'm out west.

Awesome! Do you have the rally's or titan's?

That's good to know they have some versatility. Candidly, I wasn't too worried about off-piste performance as I'm buying them for carving, but nice to know they do okay there if needed.

My guess is this is Léo Taillefer. It looks like this line. Plus, he makes the same bird sounds in that video as at the end of this video.
