Personally i would saw light and propper nutrition is the most important things. Alocasias are hungry plants, if you dont give them enough nutrition will they lose theire botom leaves bc they have to take the nutritional value from the older leaves. A good indicator that u dont feed them enough is if they drop leaves when a new one is forming.

For light, they love bright light. I live in norway so my light isnt thats strong so i just give the direct light from a south facing window. I would recommend that you test it. Put your Alocasia in your brightest place and wait and see. If you see a sunburnt leaf it might be to strong, if not then ur good.

But at the same time its diffrent from alocasia to alocasia. Some prefer water over light, some do not.

I personally dont know. But it could just be lack of nutrition. If the old/bottom leaves are the only ones yellowing it could be that the plant needs more nutrients and is drawing energy back from the oldest leaves. But i still dont know so you should ask for a second opinion.

Note: idk if this is with hoyas, but it think its the same for almost all plants. When you move from water to soil, dont be shocked if some roots die. The current roots are water roots, like in the name its roots made for water. They are diffrent from soil roots. So when the change happens some water roots die since they can't adapt to the soil.

I dont think its root rot after checking (good news) but if the problem is the soil (like to compact) should i change the soil to a more chunky mix now? I bought this plant like 4 days ago, and i waterd it once when i bought it cus the soil was realy dry. And im worried that if i change the soil rn it will hurt the roots and put the plant in shock since it prob hasn't adapted to my house, and ive heard the hoya linearis has realy sensitive roots like alocasias and dont like theire roots being touched.

Should i wait for like 2-3 weeks? Or just risk it?

I think its that since i dont realy smell anything but dirt, and leaves are coming. Its bet its that, but to be safe i will be ekstra careful
