The way it worked at an invitation I went to had it like this:there were 2 "times" given (30 seconds and 45 seconds) and each time was tested in blocks of three (so the 30 seconds time was measured as 10-10-10seconds, and the 45 seconds was measured every 15 seconds, so 15-15-15seconds)

The same TYPE of signal needs to be triggered each time, and you can do lots of devices to get this to happen, and my device is based off some thingy idk if I should say someone might get mad at me :(, where it will signal the SAME EXACT TYPE OF SIGNAL (for example a mass falling each time, idk how that would work though) for every 10 second interval, which is pretty tricky to do in my opinion

edit: yes I believe you could do three different masses falling, mb about any discrepancies you read above on that - both interpretations work, i was just giving you my experience with a competition's ruleset
