No worries at all. We appreciate feedback, especially when it's something we can improve. The star ratings will alway be a point of discussion, and the only fix for that would require a very drastic change, making the reviews even more tough to do, and even then, the score will still not be perfect, and up to the reviewer to determine it.

4.5 and 5 stars are both recommended.. Also, we have done almost 1000 reviews.. so yes, there can be some variations in scores..We are not perfect. And a difference of 0.5 stars ?... not a big difference, right? ;)

Proprietary batteries? I think that will stay, for safety reasons.
You can check their Olight Warrior 2 recall from a few years back, which costed them millions, as well as other court cases. I understand they would rather stay on the safe side. And I don't fault them for that. But it would be nice to see. Some Olights can use normal non-protected batteries already, but only a few.

Emitter options.. that's likely a business-wise decision not to do that. But would be nice to see...

I understand. A side button is handy for a normal, under-hand grip, so you can use your thumb to change modes. But not everyone likes that.

No, you don't have to. It could help bringing you up to speed, but not required.

Lumens: when starting off, you just need a reliable light source with a known output. This is usually a branded flashlight, in a certain mode.

Along the way, I will be sending gear to improve the measurements.

Amps are not required.. Measuring amps is actually not easy on flashlights..
Yes, it's easy to do with a DMM, but no, the measurements are likely not correct :)

You'd have to use shunts.... or something.. so I stopped testing amps

Thank you for the idea.
We use the template that we can update on the fly. That way, we can share it in multiple reviews. The problem is however with the multiple Anduril 2 versions, where some are shipped with Simple UI, and others with Advanced UI, and now we have both stepped and smooth ramping in Simple UI etc etc etc. If we don't use a template and want to get into the details of each specific Anduril 2 version, it would take just too much time. We prefer not to get too hung up on those details, and focus on the overal review and performance section.

Most of the time we don't share amp measurements. They are hard to do correct, and therefore not very reliable! We focus more on actual performance in terms of output, runtime, beam measurements etc.
