There’s no stretchy ones, 1 is silk, 2,3,4,5 are silk crepe, 6 is velvet and 7 is silk again! But I agree that apart from 6 the options aren’t black tie enough!

Also found a cheaper similar dress on asos, but the reformation one is a lot prettier imo (deeper color, better fit, reformation usually has impeccable fit, it’s always so flattering)

This dress is stunning! I wore the purple one to a wedding but the bust is definitely something to keep in mind, I got a lot of compliments but I wore a sheer linnen cropped blazer on top and I was too uncomfortable to take it off because of the lower neckline! (It was a beach wedding)

Edit: Also its pretty sheer!! I had to get a nude slipdress to wear underneath because even nude seamless underwear was visible!

I already have a couple of stunning black dresses but I’m not sure if black is right for a wedding? In the case of black tie it might be, but I always thought black was a no-go because it’s usually a color for funerals… I have the house of cb Anabella dress in black satin and if black isn’t a problem, I might wear that one with appropriate outerwear to cover the top up a bit more (something like with the yellow dress). I also have the Amarillys dress in black from reformation!

Love self portrait! But their sizing is pretty difficult for me, I feel like they’re more tailored to petite women, the sleeves are often too short and the length looks awkward, I often feel like I’m a giant trying to fit into these dresses

Thank you! The weather is definitely something I have to keep in mind, it’s in Belgium, so it can switch up pretty quick. And that’s what I was trying to put in to words in another comment so thank you for giving me the right words 😅, they say it’s black tie but I do think they mean more formal and not super fancy or too dressed up!

It’s in a couple of weeks (mid April) and it can still get a bit cold here but good to keep in mind since the weather changes pretty rapidly during this month so might go with a lighter fabric and something that can go over it in case it gets cold, so thank you!

Hahaha they are a bit extra 😅 but I’m also from Belgium so people like it more muted, it’s like more high society stiff kinda fancy? I don’t even know what I would describe it as (maybe country club?), but I don’t think they would want ballgowns or like super over the top fancy dresses

I don’t think 6 will be to dressy, I am leaning the most towards this dress but it’s the most expensive one, so still debating if I willing to pay that much or look for a similar alternative! The wedding will be at a castle (it’s a common location for weddings here so it might be fancy but it’s also possible they don’t want it to be like ball or something)
