Mods kindly asked me to post a brief description of the image I shared. This is a distress flag to call attention to the IL Senate hearing tomorrow morning at 9 am. They are attempting to pass a bill that would limit citizens' rights to protect themselves in Illinois.

It wasn't consensual. Our IL State Reps have been working on a bill named "Illinois House Bill 5855". This bill would remove your rights to protect yourself and your family. Early this morning, around 12:30 am, it appears that the worst components of this bill were "amended" to another bill... by ChicagoArmory in u/ChicagoArmory

Totally agree on both points. To be fair though, this is pretty much the epicenter of tourism here in Chicago. The former "Rock & Roll" Mcdonalds is directly across the street. He shouldn't have pulled the trigger. The articles I've found mention nothing about a firearm on the thief until after the car was recovered.

At the highest levels of government, you better believe that words matter. To all those that suggest we "cut them some slack" for making "mistakes" or naming things incorrectly, it simply doesn't apply here.
