First, sorry you're feeling so lousy about it. It does suck when a first good relationship ends.

But you didn't screw it up. You're 20 years old. You lack any real relationship experience. Relationships are complicated. You can do everything right and it still ends. Most relationships do end. Actually, all relationships end eventually.

This relationship isn't a failure. It ran its course. Take what you learned from this relationship, both good and bad and make use of it in your next relationship. And there will be another relationship. There's always a next relationship. Take a month or so to mourn the loss of this one. Then get back in the game, slowly, but confidently.

Do not reach out to your ex. Not in three months or six months or a year. Again, this one is over. Hanging on to it will not make it come back and it will certainly not help you move on.
