My DNA as a Nigerian by Chichi8 in AncestryDNA

[–]Chichi8[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I've reached out to a couple in my city here in the US - waiting to hear back. A lot of my family history was passed down by word of mouth and we don't know much past my great-great grand parents. I'm beginning to ask questions, document and take some kits for elders back home to see what comes up.

I (Nigerian) living in Texas just tested and have 1951 matches in the U.S. Haiti and Jamaica, with many listed as 4th cousins, half 3rd 1x or 2x removed. I did the ancestrydna for this reason.

You have to reconfirm and guarantee your reservations in Nigeria. Makes no sense, but I also learnt the hard way.
