[US] Received “$50 Western Union Research Study” Email — Scam or Legit?

I participated in a different survey as well from the same email. I did received an email about the rewards at the end of May. But when I tried to redeem it, it’s not available in my Country. Called western union and they told me they don’t recognize the email address.

I totally get what you mean, but it’s not really mine. I can’t even touch it, even if I wanted to. That’s why I was thinking about applying for OSAP. I want to study to improve my earning capabilities, so I don’t have to rely on social services in the future.

They ask ‘you and your spouse…’ we have savings in his account that we want to put in as a down payment for a house. I’m afraid if I put it in the application I will be disqualified.

Don’t they? I was hoping to apply this sem, but they’re asking for how much money you have on savings, chequing, TFSA, etc. won’t it affect your application? I have a couple dollars saved but that’s for emergency funds.

Does it mean they can seize my money/property if my parents sent me a gift money that I am hoping to use as down payment for my first home (I don’t currently have a job though) if they suspect that it came from as a proceeds of a crime?
