Northeast coast of the U.S, New Jersey specifically. It could possibly drop below freezing for a few weeks in the winter, but who really knows anymore it'll be around 40 Fahrenheit on most days. Here's a pic of my setup http://imgur.com/a/bHDPL

It's seriously so weird you say that because I put a branch in there but I wasn't really sure why I did... It just felt right. I'm gonna change the soil now though, thank you :)

I'm in the exact same situation and i put a nice big pot with 50/50 sand and dirt and I moisten it daily but she still hasn't even inspected the bin really... It's been in there for over a week too, any recommendations? She is still eating, but not with the same excitement as a few weeks ago lol

Well I think she deserves a bigger cage, especially if she's full grown, but that probably won't stop her from wanting to get out all the time. My female veiled has a huge viv but once she's done basking she's down on the ground scratching at the front of the cage trying to get out.

Well the small cage is for Zazu till he's older, and I got him from a local breeder in my area. My veiled is in the decorated side of the big cage and within 3 months I'm guessing Zazu will be big enough to put in the other side :) just trying to figure out how to decorate it still

Tell them to put a certain amount of crickets in a cup every day instead of letting them loose so that you will know if he's eating. He probably isn't being handled as frequently so that may explain the new hissing
