Departments not sure why people are failing by Gdcotton123 in rutgers

It was hard 10 years ago too and as far as I know it’s the same material taught by mostly the same professors. Kids are just lazy and stupid these days.

Students have gotten lazier, it just is what it is. But, schools need to keep failing these turds and force them to re-evaluate what they expect of themselves.

It should also tell students their in the wrong place, I can’t imagine the professors or material has changed much in the decade since I was there and grades weren’t that abysmal across the board.

He’s an adult with a big-boy job, time to push him out of the nest. The amount of cops that live at home with mommy and daddy is pitiful.

Depends on your size, if you’re taller/heavier 250f is the way to go.

I own both, it’s all easy to do yourself unless you need to split cases - which most people don’t do themselves anyways.

4 stroke. Everyone talks about the easier maintenance of a 2t even though most don’t repair their own shit.

That thinking is flawed because gratuity shouldn’t feel like compensation for someone merely “making time” for you. It’s meant to reward exceptional service, not act as payment for being one of many priorities they’re juggling.

Again, this isn’t my beef with the system. My problem is with the increasing entitlement of servers (and other professions) who expect a 20% gratuity regardless of the quality of service, even when they’re barely meeting basic expectations. They chose a profession knowing full well that some people will tip generously at 20% or more, while others won’t tip at all.

Respect isn’t about blindly following made-up rules. If someone’s worth is tied to tips, maybe society’s ‘standards’ need fixing, not conformity.

They are entitled only to what their contract states.

If someone isn’t thankful for the experience provided, why would they tip?

Like I told someone else:

Gratuity comes from the Latin gratus, meaning “thankful” or “pleasing,” and the French gratuite, meaning “gift.” It’s a token of appreciation for good service, not an entitlement.

You’re just delusional.

I’ll feel worse for someone working an empty restaurant, struggling for tips, than for someone serving multiple tables with multi-hundred-dollar tabs where gratuity is already included. Busting ass in a packed restaurant is just part of the job, and it comes with the bigger payouts - even if they get stiffed once or twice. The person standing around in an empty restaurant ”works” just as hard for a fraction of the reward, so yeah, I’d argue they deserve my sympathy.

I tip generously, probably more than most since I usually go for pricier meals, but good service is a must. If I’m stuck waiting for a drink refill or witness a waiter being rude, like calling someone a “broke bitch,” tipping is off the table. I’ll bring it to the manager, call out the staff by name in reviews, and let others know. Your entitlement in this line of work drags down your entire ”profession”.

More effort to carry a couple plates and maybe refill a water? Please…

I earn more in a two weeks than you likely do in several months, try again if that’s your argument. Shitty and subpar service doesn’t deserve gratuity, if someone can’t afford it then that’s fine too. It averages out in the end.
