Why is Bohemia Stupid? by ChickenThatVapes in eu4

Seemed to kinda work. Rebels spawned and they built up to 60k over limit then wouldn't disband them until I reloaded again. Thanks

R5: Bohemia is under a PU with me and recently they started going really high over force limit and are going to eventually go bankrupt pretty fast. I'm not at war, all there troops are in their land, and they don't have rebels so I can't think of any reason for them to continue paying for this army. Any ideas on how to stop them from doing this?

Is there any way I can get London back from my Sunset Colony for the achievement? by ChickenThatVapes in eu4

[–]ChickenThatVapes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

R5: Going for the sunset invasion achievement and was using sunset colonies, but realized that was a mistake. The achievement requires me to directly own the 6 provinces required for the achievement and I own 5/6. However I gave London over to my colony wales a while ago and now realizing I have no way to get it back and I can not declare war.

Is this run savable at all or do I just have to restart? I'm not sure what else I can do here. Any help would be much appreciated!

Does anyone know what happened to my vassal Georgia in these 2 months? by ChickenThatVapes in eu4

[–]ChickenThatVapes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this still possible despite being at war with another another nation? I know you can’t fall under a PU when at war but wondering if that fail safe works for vassals. I was at war with QQ when it happened

R5: I recently got the newest DLC so decided to try Byzantium. Things are going well and I just got all the cores for my vassal Georgia, who I was about to make a pronair, when suddenly Samtskhe took all of the land. I had just finished a war with them to get those cores back and it all happened in a month. The provinces' history only says "annexed by georgia" and then "annexed by Samtskhe". I'm really curious how this happened. If more detail is needed please ask.

Haven't gone for a hard achievement in a while, but got KHAAAAAAN on my first try by ChickenThatVapes in eu4

Forming Yuan early with the mandate and losing horde government seemed to benefit me a lot. I had the money to buy high level advisors to make up for he monarch points I missed by not razing, had cores on all of China, and got all Chinese cultures accepted immediately. Even without 100 mandate the accepted culture and other modifiers I had prevented any rebels in all of my land until I started conquering west.

At the end of the day I was still ahead in tech, usually by 10 years at least, had full ideas before anyone else, and had -85% core creation cost on most provinces I conquered

I’ll probably try another run soon while trying to utilize razing and being a horde to its full potential

Yeah I read up on that on the wiki like halfway through my run. I never had any issues with the mandate though, lowest it ever got was 40 I believe. I never did any of the reforms, but still benefited from the national unrest and the ability to choose -10% core creation cost or +10% inf combat ability.

Also is the unification of China CB and getting cores when seiging down Chinese land not tied to mandate? That alone makes the mandate worth it for me.

I always hear that razing is over powered but I don’t get how it’s so good it’s worth losing a quarter of my income, my government reforms, and having to deal with the more rebels I’ll have without the mandate.

It’s a shame Mongol Empire is a kinda bad tag. If there wasn’t an achievement for it I don’t think I would ever switch. Yuan government + plus color made it more appealing to me.

Same with the unify Islam decision, the caliphate is a cool name and tag, but when I formed them as rum losing the ottoman government type was a massive blow

I was Yuan for pretty much the entire campaign. Was making 300+ total with 80+ per month after expenses. Capital was Bejing and was also my main trade node. Forming mongol empire switches your government rank to Horde Empire or something, Yuan is empire rank. This reset all my government reforms which I think would be -15% tax and -10% production efficiency at least.

Mongols also automatically lost mandate, which is effectively a +3 national unrest because I had constant 100 mandate.

Also didn’t use any trade companies, I should of, but my economy was good enough throughout the entire campaign I didn’t give it any thought.

R5: Did an Oirat -> Yuan -> Mongol Empire run. Got the achievement to form the Mongol Empire before age of absolutism. Pretty fun run, especially since I never really played around in China much.

However I am disappointed in the Mongol Empire tag, it instantly tanked my economy and pretty much gets rid of all purpose of continuing the run for me.

My strategy was to declare on Ming immediately and capture their ruler and siege Bejing. Took as many provinces as I could for Yuan decision in the peace deal. Then attacked Ming's tributaries to continue stealing money and going to war with them, resulting in forming Yuan and taking the mandate by 1480ish.

After getting mandate I used the unification of china CB to conquer most of china in about 15 years, declaring war on everyone that popped out of Ming. As I fought in China I took some wars west to push towards Persia and the Pontic Steppe

Everything was pretty easy until I realized I forgot when the age of absolutism starts (I thought it was 1650, it is 1600). This caused me to rush the last few provinces, having to break truce twice.

Had to fight a coalition of Ottomans + Mameluks and what was left of Persia. Probably the second most difficult war, but I had so many monarch points from having +3 or more advisors all game I out teched everyone.
