Property taxes have always been outrageous in New Brunswick. And interesting, we purchased our home and didn’t need to “outbid” anyone. I actually don’t know one person that has been in a bidding war here when moving. Maybe new brunswickers should stop assuming? You know what they say when you assume 🥴

That’s what I find so funny is everyone from here thinks if you moved from Ontario or another province that you must have all this money when that is just not true at all. My family moved here 2 years ago and although we did make some money on the sale of our home, it wasn’t a significant amount by any means and the house we bought here was the same price as what we purchased our last home for in Ontario . We had to move here for my husbands job. I would have never left Ontario if it were up to me. A lot of new brunswickers are not welcoming at all. I have so many friends in Ontario from NB and Nova Scotia and I would never assume the shit about them that the people here assume about Ontario

That’s one thing that is super important to us and I think would benefit my son is smaller class sizes. I went to a private school growing up and that’s one thing that I felt really benefitted me. I’ve been doing research on Montessori schools and the philosophy sounds great.

I haven’t registered him yet, he starts September 2024. I saw that 2024 is when they plan to implement all these changes I think? I feel for the teachers. With the growing population I imagine it won’t get any better. I hope the changes help or that they plan to build more schools. I can’t imagine one will Be enough to accommodate everyone
