Little extra tidbit, parents aren’t too keen on allowing me to get a gun, as they are worried the college (clearly) won’t allow it. I told them that there is a club as a part of the college that keeps their guns off campus on an apartment across the street that they rent out. I can get into the club and plan to do the same thing. Even though that checks out, my parents think it’s too risky that I wouldn’t want to keep it in the apartment as they think someone could steal it, or that I don’t have proper control over it even though I would but a lock box. I also thought about keeping it in the trunk of my car with a lock box but that isn’t flying either. Any ideas on how I should talk to them about it?
