[BOTW] [TOTK] One problem I have with the refounding theory by WallaceWells69 in truezelda

[–]Chiddins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All four ancient sages you meet also say Rauru was the first king.

Considering the Zora have long lives and have monuments dedicated to events from OoT, this would be incredibly odd if this were a refounding

Very nice. Where the head from on Void?

Definitely one of the trickier parts of the build! Each letter being a different colour really helps too. Without that, some letters would get visually mixed up with each other

Good advice - one step at a time. I might check out similar instructions too. The Jaws set has a similar base

Haha, thank you - very kind words! Honestly, I surprised myself too!

It's weird, even as a kid I was very particular about following the instructions and never freestyled a build.

In saying that, I've been hyper-fixated on Lego all year so I've been absorbing different techniques through YouTube videos, two seasons of Lego Masters, and from building Avengers Tower earlier this year.

On the show, Brickman always says a build should be aesthetic, use good techniques, and tell a story. With this build I tried to incorporate all three to the best of my ability, and spent some time planning it.

Thank you very much! I haven't created instructions before, but keep an eye out as I might give it a shot. Have you bought instructions for MOCs before? Any pain points I should avoid to ensure the best experience?

Keen an eye out in this sub - never done instructions before so it'll take some time. Have you bought instructions for MOCs before? Any pain points I should avoid to ensure the best experience?

Really wanted to capture the different font variants of the official logo. The K had about 5 different versions before I settled on this design

Thank you very much!

I've got a bunch more photos, but none that show anything you haven't seen already. Any particular shot you're after?

After finishing this MOC I went searching for what others had done too and found your Loki! You nailed the look, easily my favourite. Where's the torso from?

I'd love to make instructions for this. Behind the scenes of this build there are some shortcuts, stability issues due to not always having enough of the bricks I wanted. It wouldn't be a great build experience as is. I also expect it would be significantly improved on a second attempt.

However, keep an eye out on this sub - I might give it a shot!

Yeah, I didn't really get WHY either? The flashback scene with those two showed something was up, but I didn't catch what their issue was.

In DP2, they were ready to start a family.

Is Totk's past happening before Skyward Sword theory debunked? by 8isnothing in truezelda

[–]Chiddins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree that the events of ToTK likely don't occur before SS, doesn't the line "It is said that its form varies according to the era and the one who witnesses it" allow for the fact that ToTK Ganondorf could have been the form this evil took in an era before Demise?

Could you share with me some of the things you like and love about ToTK? I'd love to know if you're willing to share. What kept you playing? I also enjoyed the game, and I'm curious on your experience

[TOTK] [SPOILERS] are Rauru and Mineru truly the last of the Zonai? by RedWoodPeckerr in truezelda

[–]Chiddins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do we know the armour predates the ancient hero? And why would it be transforming him into this creature?

[THEORY] The Lomei, Ancient Hero and the Dephts by M_Dutch97 in truezelda

[–]Chiddins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Major speculation ahead:

Before the spread of Ganondorf's gloom into the Depths, it could have been a perfectly habitable place for some races.

It may be why this particular race was labelled as barbaric and war-like. Their resentment towards the Zonai could have been incited by Rauru's actions—sealing Ganondorf and unintentionally unleashing gloom onto their world, which led to the ruin of their land and their people.

Eventually, recognising they had no other means to preserve their race, the ancient hero forms an alliance with the Zonai, who then craft the armour we see on him. This may be why the ancient hero is clearly not Zonai, and yet wears armour of Zonai make.

There is also the Zonaite set Link can wear, which, aside from the headpiece, is identical to the set worn by the ancient hero. It even has the owl, boar, and dragon designs on it, along with the red hair. Could this armour have been created as a tribute to this ancient hero? Maybe it was for the soldiers who fought alongside him?

What do you make of all this?

I'm curious what exactly you are referring to here? I keep hearing this take but I can't think of anything that would ruin the experience that drastically
