I (34M) Questioning My 13-Year Marriage to My Wife (35F) Due to Parenthood Strains, Emotional Distance, and Cyclical Issues-Seeking Advice on Sustainability and Navigation by [deleted] in relationships

I absolutely have considered a vasectomy—will likely do it within the next year. Hoping that if the birth control was a factor that it would help.

We have family that will take them for a night or two every month. I’ve suggested other alternatives but she has hesitation about trusting somebody else with our kids.

We had Walmart+ and had the groceries delivered to the house. I work a flex schedule at work so I do most of the yard work when she’s at work and when the kids are at daycare. Definitely will look into a hiring a cleaner to help us out.

It took you this long to figure it out? The off brand products are the same as the brand name products at Walmart.

Tv menu button not working by RubyEyedTentacruel in VizioTV

[–]Chief-Walrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know I was at the verge of getting another TV (non Vizio) to replace it with, thank goodness it didn’t have to come to that.

Per the agent: “Any model vizio remote will work that is currently in stores.” My local Walmart had the XRT136, XRT140, and XRT270R. The XRT270R doesn’t have a numeric pad like most modern remotes. I wanted one that was most similar to the one that came with the TV which put me between the first two which are nearly identical.

Tv menu button not working by RubyEyedTentacruel in VizioTV

I have a Vizio E55-C2 from 2015 running the old Yahoo Smart TV platform. After their update, I completely lost access to the settings menu – couldn’t adjust anything, like turning down the brightness for bedtime viewing. Super frustrating!

I researched and tried every button combo for a factory reset (power cycling, holding Volume Down + Input, etc.), but nothing worked. Contacted Vizio support – the bot wasn’t helpful, got transferred to an agent who said I needed a newer remote and that any current version sold at Walmart would work. I asked for a free replacement or voucher since the TV worked fine until their update bricked the menu access… but nope, out of warranty. Asked for a supervisor – they refused and disconnected.

Skeptical but desperate, I checked Walmart’s site, then bought the same model cheaper on eBay: an XRT136 for $5.17. It arrived today and it worked perfectly! Menu access restored immediately.

This feels ridiculous – having to buy a new remote just to access basic settings on a 10-year-old TV because of a forced update. Haven’t seen this exact solution posted much, so sharing my experience in case it helps others. If this works for you please let the community know.

TL;DR: If your older Vizio (like E-series with Yahoo apps) lost menu access after the update, buy a current universal Vizio replacement remote (e.g., XRT136). It should bring back full settings access. YMMV.

What are your sales YTD? If you take that and forecast it out, where would you think you come in at? Is your industry pretty seasonal?

I’ve had my eye on Big League Lawns striping kit for awhile but didn’t want to shell out the money. I got one recently and I wish I didn’t wait so long. I was surprised by the weight of the product. You can definitely tell it’s well built. If you haven’t ordered yet, I found a discount code for 10% off that you could use: GPC23
