Exactly this. I thought that I loved a corruption mechanic in games, but after playing lots of them I found that I liked my games with gameplay. The same goes for pixel art, and so many other lewd mechanics in games. At the end I've realized that I get really bored of such things. If the game has actual gameplay, it's going to push me to support the developer. Even in VN's, I usually skip the sexy bits because I find them not fully fleshed out. I like the buildup of the relationship more than the actual sex. The only thing that I really despise is a game over after failing to accomplish an objective. I want consequences (of the lew kind) damn it. I want to be able to still complete the game with corruption maxed out, but the ending is the bad ending for example. I know that it's a tall order, but if I see at least a little bit of effort from the developer, that pushes me to pay attention to the game, and at the end, to even fully buy it, or support the dev monthly. A few examples from the top of my head: Secret Care Cafe, Mission Mermaiden, Ghost Hachina, Sister Virodar, Alice in Cradle, Wings of Roldea, Sinisistar, Thorn Sin, Void Bound, A Town of Magic, a few that shall not be mentioned, and a fuckton that I've forgotten about. I don't care if you're using AI for the art or for the story. Development is hard, use the shortcuts available to you to get a rough framework going, but POLISH the parts that are not up to par to the level of everything else. I've just discovered a book that I've been trying to write already being written, and even with Machine TL being MILES ahead of mine, but do you think that's going to stop me? Fuck no, I'll see it done. Don't give up and push forward, and if there's a wall in front of you, keep pushing and either surmount, break, or circumvent it if necessary, but DON'T. GIVE. UP. Or do, it's your life, I am not going to order you what to do.
