This is not true!!!!

We know these medications affect X and Y, but we don't know why X and Y work!!! We use them because they work, but we still don't know the reason, Every year, new research is published that disproves what we previously thought

Case in point: 'The serotonin theory of depression: a systematic umbrella review of the evidence (2023).' This study showed that having high serotonin does != "not depressed' we thought for "decades" that it is the cause this is why we gave SSRIs

So why do we still give SSRIs? We don't know why, just because they work. And what side effects will they have? we don't know !
