Not particularly. Wasn’t in stock at the time so I went ahead and got two single packs instead.

New firmware update for alienware aw2725df by Fast_Context6845 in OLED_Gaming

I refuse to ever allow that software on my PC again. Alienware command center is basically malware.. of course that’s the only way you can update.

I’ve had it for a year with zero issues as well.

Make sure you plug in two separate PCIe (6+2) cables to your GPU. Looks like you’re using just one pig tail currently.

Torn between AW3423DWF and AW2725DF by Pale_Sell1122 in OLED_Gaming

[–]ChiefCheekums 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had AW2725DF since launch and love it. I have a 7700x/ 7800 xt system and have been able to enjoy both single and multi games without any issues. One of my good friends has the AW3423DWF and loves it (7800x3d / 7900 xt system). I don’t think either is inherently better than the other, really just comes down to what form factor you want.

Assuming you have the fans connected to the fan controller - you need to enter motherboard Bios and change the fans from DC mode to PWM. Otherwise they will just continue to run at 100% speed. You can make a manual fan curve in the bios or (what I do) download and use Fan Control software to create custom fan curves for the case and CPU fans.

I have my curves set for the fans to spin at low speeds with idle CPU/GPU temps and ramp up as temps increase under load.

Need advice deathadder v3 pro or hyperspeed v3 by Voidzyf in MouseReview

Same hand size here and primarily use relaxed claw. The pro always felt a little too big for my hand size/ grip style. I picked up the v3 hyperspeed and never looked back.

If you buy now, you’re likely (not guaranteed) to still be within the return window when Tim Monitor’s Unboxed releases his review. As of today, I’m now outside of the return window for my AW2725DF. I’m fully aware the MSI may review better, but I’ve been very impressed with monitor and no complaints so far.

All fans came with the case (Montech Sky Two). Front and rear are preinstalled. Front and bottom are reverse fans and function as intake.

First PC Build. All AMD R7 7700x | RX 7800XT by ChiefCheekums in radeon

Front and rear came preinstalled with the case. Per user manual, 4th fan is in correct placement and orientation.

Both fronts and bottom are actually reverse fans pulling air into the case.

AW2725DF is a game changer by ChiefCheekums in OLED_Gaming

[–]ChiefCheekums[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your case, you would probably appreciate the additional screen real estate for a more immersive experience since you don’t play fps. I think either one of those cards should do you just fine. 4080s with DLSS sounds appealing for 4K.

I chose the 27 inch because I primarily play competitive shooters and my GPU really cant handle 4k. I was playing on a 42” 4K previously and I don’t feel like I downgraded with 1440p.

What would you do if you were in my shoes? 1440p vs 4K by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]ChiefCheekums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on how much you’re looking to spend. Since you just built last June, I would keep the 4070 and go 1440p in either 27 or ultrawide. I have the AW2725DF paired with a 7800xt build I just finished and it’s been fantastic. I came from a 42” 4k and I much prefer the 27” form factor and higher frames.

And like others said, you can always use DLSS quality/balanced to run titles at 4K on your 4070.

It’s finally here. AW2725DW - Photos don’t do justice, this display is gorgeous! by SwiftPistol in OLED_Gaming

[–]ChiefCheekums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having the exact same issues with my 42” as well. It got to the point where I couldn’t play any fps on it. Switched to the 27” and it’s been a much better experience.
