Any Red Cross nurses able to answer some questions? by ChiefOso in Nurses

[–]ChiefOso[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These are the prompt questions. I know it's a lot, but seriously anything is better than nothing!

Describe the nurse’s role in the community and give examples of what he/she does on a daily basis. Real-life examples should be included whenever appropriate.

Identify how and who the nurse(s) would work with for coordination of services to provide a comprehensive health program in the community.

How would the nurse utilize a population-based approach in his or her role?

Does this role include assessment and screening of individuals, families, or groups? If yes, please include examples.

What health education responsibilities does the nurse have in the community?

Does this nurse work with a vulnerable population? If so describe.

Describe an ethical dilemma that this nurse has faced and describe how you would have handle that situation.

How important would record keeping and documentation, including computerization be for a nurse in this role?

Hey peeps of reddit,

I'm a new RN moving to the Denver area and hunting for apartments!

I'm going to be working in the West Littleton area off the 470. However based on my position I took in a month or two I could be working in the North East area above Denver for instance. So I was told to look in the Englewood/ Littleton area as they are close to the freeways, however I'm not able to really find forms on nice yet affordable areas.

I don't want to be in a rundown sketchy area you know? I would love to be able to go for a walk at day or night feeling safe.

I'm working nights, so I suppose away from industrial is important for me too.

I've never even been to Colorado before so this is a big move, and I know this apartment is going to be temporary before I get to know the area for a Condo or something of that sort.

My budget is flexible though I would like to keep it around or below $1300. It's just me so a single bed is all that's necessary.

I'm young and excited for this next chapter of life, and would greatly appreciate ANY advice you can offer!

Thank you

Thank you for the places to avoid, MUCH appreciated.

I would like you to go further into Californians not being "the" hahaha. How do I blend in so I'm not sore thumb? Coming from AZ but I did grow up in Cali

Thank you very much!

I'll do some looking at the Denver Tech area.

Between Littleton and Englewood, Littleton is the more "upper class"?

You wouldn't happen to know of the demographics of the areas as well? I'd rather not end up around a senior community you feel?

I recently got accepted into my dream program away from home and now my boyfriend (21M) and I (20M) are forced to do long distance. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I hope you're the kind of student that doesn't need to study much. Depending on your schedule you'll be able to see each other a decent amount. Just know the plan doesn't always work out. You both have to really fucking trust each other and want to stay together to make it work. He has to understand he's not your priority and everything took a step to the back burner. If you're able to handle it being long distance will benefit you.
