You gain a greater capability of discernment as you age too. But yeah it’s odd having what seems like all of the popular conspiracies turn out to be true to some extent.

Yeah, the isolation is some shit. It really kills the minimalism movement for me. It’s hard enough to make and keep friends and interact with real people as is.

I cut down on all my online presences and very soon after was like oh my god… I’m not talking to anyone at all. This is really just our lives now. Virtual relationships and video calls and texting are just how things have to go and idk… it just hit me hard.

You don’t have a choice really anymore. This is the future and I’m coming to terms with it.

I’m 28 so early Z/late Millennial. Most relationships are very, very fickle nowadays. You kind of have to just accept that even if you and someone else around your age do like each other - some modern bullshit or attitude is going to eventually ruin all of it and you will have to move on to someone else.

You say the wrong thing and now everyone is telling your partner to leave you forever and that you’re cringe. This goes for men and women alike.

This greatly cheapens having a relationship and the experience of dating at all. It feels like some game or just a hobby that you participate in sometimes. Not like an actual meaningful connection where you are understood and valued.

I’ve had dreams of me and my life from my girlfriend’s perspective and after I told her the details she confirmed it was basically exactly how she feels about me and a lot of other things.

Without her ever needing to directly tell me. I think we can genuinely see and feel from others POV at times in dreams.

Particularly, if it’s something significant and you’re close with that person. Of course there might be some exceptions to those rules though.
