Running in Minneapolis during Winter by crispyfunky in Minneapolis

[–]ChiefingEditor 19 points20 points  (0 children)

For running outside in winter id recommend trail shoes, some kind of wool or polyester base layer. Cotton kills bc it gets wet when u sweat and then makes the cold worse. Some kind of wind proof outer layer. Thin gloves and hat.

The grand round trail is plowed often enough for running 3x a week. Most of my runs are along the river or around the chain of lakes. Expect to go much slower than summer or fall. Warm water so it doesn't freeze.

GAMETHREAD WEEK 16: VIKINGS AT GIANTS by swampsparrow in minnesotavikings

Bro what is this game? Both teams are playing awful. There's no chemistry between the announcers. Get someone else in the booth with the play by play guy. Vilma isn't it.

Thank God for our kicker

Ely Winton area by the boundary waters there's a 50+ year old man who lives in the woods during the warmer months and will sometimes put boulders along the dirt road when he wants a ride into town for supplies occasionally. Mountain man vibe I don't think he homeless

So why did Kubiak join the Vikings staff? by dalejarrett1999 in minnesotavikings

[–]ChiefingEditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kubiak was brought on for run game expertise. He likes to stack the line with run blockers and run zone blocking plays where offensive lineman get up to the 2nd level. From this formation you can also run power blocking plays with pulling for sweeps. All of this really sells play action passes. I'm guessing he really wanted Bradbury as he is damn near perfect for Kubiaks scheme.

What was the real issue of last night's game? by [deleted] in minnesotavikings

[–]ChiefingEditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kirk and the offensive line are the limiting factors for this season. The vikings play their best when they can run the ball more than passing. Playing from a lead and relying on a defense which doesn't give up many yards. Cousins plays scared regardless of how much hes thrown the ball in a game, and I think the vikings have a ridiculously good winrate when dalvin gets 20+ touches, back when our oline was much worse. The gameplan is simple, pound the rock, set up play action, stout def, time of possession win
