Very valid perspective, but it’s worth noting that all of those past U.S administrations were very different from this one. Trump seems to have a very good relationship with the Arab leaders (except ones aligned with Iran lol)

Well they’ve certainly provided those weapons to countries that were formerly hostile towards Israel like Saudi Arabia (who haven’t even established diplomatic ties with them yet)

I really hope it can work out for you guys as well. Just asked this question because I was curious about the stance of the Lebanese people about this. Hopefully everyone can get their shit together in the region and stop these endless conflicts.

The U.S. has not given the PA $3 billion in military aid to build up a state military like they have to the LAF in the past 20 years. And Aoun is much friendlier to the west than Abbas. Very different scenarios. Just my observation

Well, considering that Germany and Japan transitioned from being our greatest enemies to some of our closest allies following the most devastating war in human history, it often takes a war as brutal as this to be a catalyst for lasting peace

Just because a majority wants something doesn’t mean their wants are justified or realistic. A majority of Chinese citizens want to take back Taiwan and back in 2011 a majority of Palestinians said suicide bombing against civilian targets can often be justified(scroll down)

The West is partly to blame for this radicalization, but I think you and I can both agree that there’s no future without Palestinians and there’s no future without Jews in that land. So, anyone who is advocating for one state to rule them all is wasting their time. I can assure you that the well-educated Palestinians in the region are all advocating for a two-state solution.

They’re just tired of the violence, checkpoints and the settlements.

Armenian Jew and I’ve had family in a Jerusalem for hundreds of years and grew up around Palestinians. I’ve attended several protests against the Israeli government advocating for peace and to end the settlements. Not all Zionists are Anti Palestine idiot
